Why do robot-vampires seem like a logical progression to me?

Who makes stuff "To look cool"? When someone finds out how to replicate a feature in a game there is usually an influx of people wanting to test it out. Seriously, a popularity contest with The Sims?

It's already possible to have robotic looking vampires with the default Maxis skin (example here: http://www.sims2community.com/showthread.php?t=6361 post 23), why create this?
That vampire robot has human eyes and lips due to the vampire overlay. What kind of robot has lips?

:sigh: whatever, I just can't picture people replacing all the Vampires in their game with robots... willingly
We've got zombies and pirates, are you honestly surprised that flesh/blood eating robots are making an appearance? All we need now is some monkeys. Robot monkeys. Robot zombie monkeys.

I always hated it when the elderly used to pinch my cheeks at weddings and say "You're next!". That all stopped when I started saying it to them at funerals.

How do you replace the vampire overlay with a different pattern?
Could someone post a link to a tutorial, or PM me...
Thanks!

its not so much just being robotic vampires, as you could do by useing the skin on a sim and becomeing a vampire, its that this way normal sims can become robot/vampires, its quite funny ingame.

this is cool...unfortunately I prefer vamps of flesh and blood so I won't be using this wonderful robotic default. However I do like it and just wanted to say so.

It looks cool, but I didn't realise that it would replace all the vampire skins. All my vampires ended up looking like robots and that's not what I wanted. Your skin gave me a lot of trouble, but I finally managed to fix it. So if you don't want all your vampires to look like robots, don't use this, otherwise, go ahead!

a.k.a. The point I made before my comments got deleted. If you really wanted robotic vampires it would be better to use the original skin (that this is based off of) along with a set of custom eyebrows (with the robotic parts added, and an adjusted alpha). That way, all the vampires in the game would not look like robots.

I wasn't saying that it's crap, but the fact is, they didn't make the original skin. They just copied it from a skin someone else did and made it a vampire replacement. I was just saying it's not practical, as it turns all vampires in the game into robots, and there is a better way of accomplishing the same thing without making all the other vampires look stupid (use the original skin and custom eyebrows to make them robot-vampires without the red human eyes and that sort of thing.).

Edit: just to clarify something else from my quoted post (the original was deleted), the reason that vampire robot has the "lips" is because that person used makeup before they made it a vampire. The only thing that would be noticable would be the eyes when you use the maxis default (and that can be changed with "custom eyebrow, contacts" like I was talking about).

Hell, chill out people, I'm downloading this primarily to find out how to replace that crapppy maxis "ruin your goth makeup with a crappy blue overlay" vampire look, but I might just use it as is, as robot vampires are not just better then the maxis crap, but a damm sight funnier.

Hi there. This is a really cool skin! I used it in my scifi neighbourhood and then removed the file from my Downloads folder when playing my other neighbourhoods. It's really easy to do this, btw - simply place a subfolder in your Downloads called 'Robovamp' or another such name, with the robovamp file inside. This makes it easy to find when you want to remove it, and somewhat solves the problem of every vampire being a robot. I agree that robot vampires look a bit strange in a medieval or 'normal' neighbourhood, but they look great in scifi or space-themed neighbourhoods. Good work! Thanks!
