O-ring Collar with Gems and Bonus Space Helmet

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.

So the collar was something new I tried. For some reason the mesh kept flipping because I had to import the hoop from the original hidden Maxis bracelet. I don't know how to make a hoop in Milkshape. I used the lens to make the gems there, you know, it was worth a shot and I think it looks okay. The o-ring and the holder for it is a different piece from the rest but I didn't feel like recoloring it this time. The issue here is that the ring is sometimes altered by the face shape. It's not a huge deal, but I will be honest, you can see a little scrunching up close. I had to assign this to the head because assigning to the neck didn't work. If anyone knows why, shoot me a message. The helmet is just something I tried to see how messing around with the lens shape could work. Maybe you could use it for a story or something, or give me suggestions on changing it. I stopped before the polys got out of control. You have to use short hairstyles with it, but it works with men and women.

So the other thing is, since maybe some of you know about this stuff, I'm sure you noticed scythe and the nightstick when extracting meshes. Has anyone tried to use them? Are they out there somewhere? Do they make good base meshes? What's the best way to clean off all the crap that messes it up when importing it into another mesh? I also was extracting some of the nightlife meshes, does anyone know if these will with the base game if I change them around, I don't want to do something that only people with the ep will enjoy (my main reason being all the different coloring options and the like with the goggles). Are there tutorials around for this? I like the idea of using the lens parts as gems, but I don't know anything about the awesome reflectivity some of the new stuff uses. I remember seeing something in the main saved sims package, but I don't know what the different options are.

Yeah, so don't spread this stuff around and please show me your recolors so I can link them here. I say this only because if I have to change anything I want it to be in an easy to find place. And as usual, message me with any problems or questions or whatever. If you'd like to request something, please find a picture of it and message me with the link.

Hi Mechec! Thanks for the collar. I've been testing it a bit in-game. I noticed that when my male Sims wear it, their necks seem to be too thick so the collar is partly hidden inside their neck. Was it designed for females?

I was just wondering if you might consider making a larger one, to fit around guys' necks. Good job, regardless! Thanks for your work.

Loved the helmet and collar. I could use them in my Sims2 movie "Colonists"
which is an experiment on my part. One thing which would help me enormously, is to have them made in Kid's size, as many of my little actors are kids.
Hope you can look at my site and read my stories.
Best wishes,

I used an empty lot, with the terrain tool making it cratered, in a desert neighbourhood. Then I had a family dressed in space suits "exploring" the lot. I had a quick problem with non-helmeted Neighbours dropping in. (Forgot about that) but was able to make a lot of 60second files and join them together with 'Movie Maker'.
Was able to overcome the lack of helmets for kids by using the 'shrinkskeleton .8' command. This converted teens to kids in size, anyway, although their voices were off. A great day of fun, thanks to this mod. Thanks, Mechec. A great contribution.

It's nice to hear someone could use it. I was hoping someone would like it.

All of my objects, hair styles, accessories, body meshes, and skins are on

Any chance of getting a recolor? I'd like to have one that matches my favorite IRL collar for my self-sim. I'll get off my lazy butt and hook up my scanner if this is possible, lol. Until then, just want you to know that you have made my colony of Masters/Slaves very happy. :salute:

-Immediately downloads and goes off to recolor the collar for alien simmies-
Sadly, however, I have utterly no clue how to upload only the necklace, so I won't be able to upload them until I find a tutorial for that. xX;''
Still, /wonderfull/!
The collar will be used alot with my alien sims... For some reason, I'm just certain of that. xD

Also, I would love to answer your questions, but I sadly have no clue about meshing. =/

Excellent stuff, Mechec.

@Mechec: I have not located any nightsticks but RoseSims has some excellent scythes under magic
