Testers Wanted "Wall Mounted" Security Equipment

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Hi everyone,
I'm back after 2 months or so with making some more creations. I started a new job and I had to get accustomed to the different shifts. Any way, I made a couple items for security for your sim's homes and community lots as a request from neil 159.

The first is a security camera that mounts to the wall. The polys for it are 1046 and the vertices are 610. It can be place in 2 corners (opposite ones) to show display of the room.

The second one is a motion detector and the polys for it are 176 and the vertices are 105. It can be placed anywhere in the room on a wall.

Both the camera and the motion detector were cloned from the burglar alarm and should have the same functions as the alarm. I have played with them in the game for a short time but am not sure on the functions since I didn't have any burglars. If you use these in your game and have a burglar visit you, please let me know how they worked for you.

I made only one color which is white for both since alot of security cameras and motion detectors are white, but if you would like other colors, feel free to recolor. They are color enabled. If you do recolor and post on a website (preferrably here and no paysites please), leave a link to the main mesh here and give credit to the creator.

I have uploaded pics of the front and side view of each and one together for you to see.

If you have any problems, please let me know and I will fix them. All feedback is welcome, as I like to hear what others think of the creation and of my work.

You can use my creations for your own purpose, but please do not put on any paysites.

Update:I just changed it so you will be able to use on community lots as well as residential lots, thanks to boblishmen's help. Let me know if you have problems. Thanks again bob.

Great job. Thanks! Can't wait to try this out. Too bad there couldn't be actual security screens to view your intruders from. That would be sooooo awesome. Maybe that's coming out in the next EP. Hmmm...

Does anyone know of a hack that allows you to summon burglars and other chance nasties?

oh and thanks, momma b, for bringing more realistic objects, that actually work!
Not buying TS4 until Terrain Sculpting is back and cheatless Split Levels are added!

The boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true can force a burglar!
Activate the cheat, choose your sim and click on the mailbox

Default change for lots
Thanks bob, I thought about making it for community lots but wasn't sure how to do it and I hate bugging everyone here. If I change it to the community lots also, will you be able to use it in residential lots as well? If not I can make it with another GUID no. for another and post that for community lots. And I was wandering if anyone knows how to make it so you can use it outside. Right now it has to be used inside in closed walls unless you use the moveobjects cheat outside. I want to make it that you dont need that. Does anyone know? Thanks for all nice comments too.

Hmmm...for some reason, when I try to Unzip the security camera RAR, it comes up with an error message about being unable to finish the operation and a sudden end of the archive.

Does anyone know how to fix it so that I can D/L it?

for those who want zip archives, i recommend sim file maid 2, it makes short work of all your downloads, whether zip or rar

You're my hero today. I've just spent 2 days trying to find a wall mounted cctv camera for the game.
Nothing listed in search, under cctv, or security camera, perhaps you could add keywords to this listing as I'm sure other people would love to use this download too :D
