This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.

Maxis "Lost & Found" #11: Numica 2x2 Card Table

Do you remember the Newbies' dining table from TS1? Well, here it is!
Digging in the game files, I've found this 2x2 dining table that matches the cheap "Numica" 1x1 card table.

This is the only 2x2 dining table available for the base game! And it works fine with any EP, too!

Maxis left behind only a mesh and a texture (the "brown leather" one that you can see in the screenshot); I've built a complete package for them, and I've also added four additional recolours, using the Numica 1x1 textures. All the recolours are contained in a separate package.

The table top and the legs are recolourable separately.

Enjoy!

Unlike my other creations, YOU HAVE MY PERMISSION TO CLONE THIS OBJECT and use it as a template for a working 2X2 table, AS LONG AS YOU PUT CREDITS TO ME AND A LINK TO THIS THREAD

oh so do I...

good times, good times.
That's great. We all know that sometimes we could use a 2x2.

Thank you so much! You have no idea how much I've wanted these size of tables, but unfortunately my computer can't handle an EP. For some reason I've always loved this table, even in the first game. You are brilliant.

You don't need an EP with this table. It's part of the base game, so it should work for you.

Thanks for finding this, Numenor. I primarily the small Numica table. Now we have the bigger one.

I think ::Giggles:: meant that until now, the only 2x2 table came with NL.

hmm, i wonder if maxis left some of these objects hidden just to see if people like numenor could unlock them for us... probably not but a nice thought, anyway, thanks.

I've been waiting all this time to be something I can't define.

Just a question but WHY do maxis leave stuff hidden in the game like this? Do they plan to unlock it in future expansions or do they just forget to activate it? Sorry...question rant over with. Thank you so much for finding it!

Love you, Numenor! It's amazing how much time did you spent on stumbling within the game files. Thanks! It's perfect for my redone Newbies (actually Kowalski in my version :nyah: ) family.

Ah.. I remember that table as well.
..I loved that table. *game-obsessed twitch of nostalgia for the old games* I wish I could play them again.. but, if I do, I always begin thinking..."The Sims two has different ages.. the sims two has better graphics.. the Sims two has a man-eating plant.. the Sims two-ARGH!" *Shoves Sims2 into her computer like a rabid animal*:gonemad:

Erm.. yes.. Awesome download. ^-^
