Alright, here's a nice old fashioned courthouse. Of course, there is no use in game for a real courthouse, but you might use it as a library or museum or church, or maybe put it on your campus. I had no intention of uploading it until I noticed a request for one. Maybe some of you could use it for your stories.

The building is loosely based upon a real building in my hometown. It is two stories, with a gallery above the main hall, and a smaller hall on the side. The main hall is furnished as a courtroom, although I'm sure others could do a much better job in that department. The back section of the building, where the administrative offices would be, has been left open for you to partition off as you see fit.

The only custom content is a large tree, "Livin'-it-out." I do not know the author of this object. If anyone recognizes it, please let me know. If the author doesn't want it shared, I will take it down immediately.

Unfortunately, I have no idea where this object came from. I did not deliberately download it. It must have been in a lot I downloaded, but I can't find it. I didn't even know I had this tree until I started decorating this lot. I debated including it, but what kind of a courthouse doesn't have a few big oaks?

Sorry, I initially clicked the wrong box. It requires both University and Nightlife.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Thank you. Yours was the request that motivated me to go ahead and upload this. It isn't very good, really, but I hope you can use it.

Cool idea for a communtiy lot, Ionopachys! Way back in the good ol' days, when I was a teenager, we partied at an old courthouse that was converted to a teen nightclub. Thanks for sharing.

I threw a wedding arch in there and am using it as an "alternate" venue for my sims to get married... Not everyone wants to get married at a church or in the backyard! Great post, thanks!

That's strange, do you have both Nightlife and University? If so, I don't see how it would mess up your game, though I'm not exactly an expert in this area.

There should be only two packages, one for the lot itself and one for the tree. First, delete everything in the Teleport folder. That's where lots are installed initially, then the game moves them on startup. I've found that occasionally something gets messed up there, and can cause problems. If that doesn't fix the problem, or if you don't have both EP's, use Clean Installer to search the downloads folder for the two packages, and delete them. Alternatively, if these are the latest files you have installed, open the File Manager, open the Downloads folder, arrange the list of files by Date Modified, and delete the two files at the end of the list (either the beginning or end, whichever ones have the latest date). This should remove both packages from your game. Make sure that the courthouse has not been placed in any neighborhood; delete it first in game if it has.

Sorry it took so long to respond.

I could indeed use a courthouse for my intended story, but I was too lazy to create one from the ground up. Thank you so much!

Thanks this is decorated just the way i wanted it. It is hard to find a court house that actually is decorated like a courthouse.
