COMPATIBLE: BASEGAME PATCH v1.63 ~ v1.67;

This mod allows you to request a Gardener from any Telephone (not Mobile) to take care of your Garden. Just click on the Interaction "Call Gardener > Request Service" from the any telephone.

It's a "Recurrent Service" like the Maid so, once requested, the Gardener comes everyday at 8AM and leaves at 6PM.
If there are more than 50 gardening tasks, will come 2 Gardeners.

What he Does???
  • Water (also control the Sprinklers to reduce the tasks)
  • Weed
  • Harvest (automatically transfers to the "Home Fridge" (if it's edible) or the "Shared Family Inventory" (not edible))
  • Dispose Dead Plants
  • Rake Leaves (this functionality only works if you have Seasons EP)
  • [new]You can request the Service on additional Lots you own.
  • It's possible to configure the Tasks: Enable/Disable (Water, Weed, Revive, Harvest, Fertilize, Dispose, Rake Leaves);
  • Fertilize (25% of the plants with random Quality)
  • Revive Dead Plants (not Barren Plants)


The Harvested Products will be automatically transferred to the "Home Fridge" (if it's edible) or the "Shared Family Inventory" (if isn't edible).


UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS

- Cancel Reset the Service using the Telephone (not Mobile) interaction "Call Gardener > Cancel Reset Service", wait until the gardeners leave.
-Save your game and Quit.
-Replace the package File with the new downloaded File, so restart your game and request the Service again.


Uninstall Instruction:
-To avoid corruption of the Saved Game:
- Cancel Reset the Service using the Telephone (not Mobile) interaction "Call Gardener > Cancel Reset Service", wait until the gardeners leave.
- Save your game and Quit.
- Remove the package file.


Known Issues:
- The gardener can't garden if you have a locked gate in your Garden.
- Don't try to cheat/modify the npc using mods. (example: change his age or behavior, or add him to your family, etc).

isn't possible because there are several difficulties to implement it.

Often, the gardeners come, go swimming all day, and don't actually do any gardening except on rare occasions when they garden for an hour or so and then leave. This is a big problem because I have a very large garden, and it takes them both the whole time to even just weed it all. I supplement them with harvest bots, but there are just too many weeds. So why are the gardeners so lazy? Are they programmed that way?

they are not programmed to do that. if they are this way, this means there are some task that the gardener can't perform.

I tested it and put a swimming pool in my backyard. The gardener used it though there are no problems to perform any tasks. I put a fence around the swimming pool with a gate that lets only my household pass. Now the gardener does his job like before. Problem fixed!

i really dont know why, but i think i am the only one that still can't find this issue.

In my case the gardener did his job first but before he left he always tried to get into the swimming pool. Of course he couldn't go through the gate because it is locked for him. After a while he gave up and left. So it's no issue for me anyway.

hi.this mod helps a lot .thank u so much.

however , there is a problem that

the dardener will not work positive.he offen stops,just claps or stares blankly.¨r(¨s¨Œ¨t)¨q

thus daily plant work always couldn't been finished.

does this gardener like maid:need to promote the Degree of goodwill?

all the npcs have this kind of behavior.

that means your garden is too large. reduce the size.

So they do things they're not programmed to do, and they don't do things they are programmed to do? That's really weird. The mod description says they can weed, water, and harvest. Those are the things they're not doing. I guess I'll just wait until the next version. This one doesn't work.

i am working on it, but not sure how to fix it. my others mods also have this issue, because probably it's something related with the latest patches.

I would like to know - if your mod changes such XML as Plants etc?
And if he could interfere with the mods of NRaaS? In particular mod Tempest? On the plants this mod has no effect, but after he set the actual temperature seasons (for example, no warmer than 0-5C for winter or colder 15C for summer).
Is there a specific XML, which changes your mod? I speak very little and sometimes S3PE create mods by XML for himself. So would like to know - if he would cause glitches with other mods.
For example, for the above XML Plants I increase the number of harvest from each plant and reduce the chance of weed and water demand.

thanks. i am waiting the University release to perform some changes. i think the new Simplant and Herbs will require some script changes.

i read the tempest documentation, i don't think so.

in my game, the original Season take some days to take effect, maybe this is happening to you.

my mod uses compiled csharp scripts, not xmls to work.

not sure, but i think you need to plant new plants to take effect. another thing, the number of harvests depends on the Quality of the plant. the weed has random chance.

Frequently Answers and Questions:

-My Gardener is stopped in from of my door! after some minutes he just leave the lot!
The Gardener can't work if there is a locked door or a gate protecting the house or Garden. Remove it or Unlock it.
Or the Gardener can't work because all the Plants are Dormant from Winter (Sesons EP)
-I can't Request the Service at the University World
The Service is disabled.
-The Gardener doesn't interact with ForbiddenFruitTree (from University EP)
To avoid problems, the Gardener will not harvest ForbiddenFruitTree
-My Gardener leave before finish all the tasks
The Gardener will leave at 6PM.
First Option: Reduce the size of your Garden to make sure they will finish all the tasks on time.
Second Option: Use the Configuration interaction (from telephone) to disable some tasks you don't want or need.
Third Option: Put Sprinklers on your Garden to reduce Water plant task.
-After Patch my game or updating this mod, the service doesn't work anymore
Probably the Service failed after the patch or update. Try to Cancel and Request the Service again. If doesn't work, restore your last saved game to correctly to follow the "Update instructions". Remember: Always follow the "Update instructions" before patch your game or update this mod.
-I can't find the "Request Interaction"
first: make sure you installed the mod correctly; (have you ever installed any other mod correctly? test with another one)
second: make sure you don't have duplicated Gardener mod package file installed;
third: check the Telephone (not mobile) for the interaction;
fourth: make sure you are not using outdated mods, because it can mess up others mods.
fifth: Make sure the downloaded version is compatible with your Basegame Patch.
sixth: Leave a message on "Comments".

I tried hiring a gardener at the university world (first time I try, I don't know about my sim's regular home) and the only option at the phone is the "about" one, there's no option to request his services. Odd thing about this is the fact my game is fully patched, I barely use any mods (the few I use being stuff like nraa's essentials or awesome mod) and I can actually hire maids from your live in maid service.

You mean it doesn't work at the University World? Weird, someone mentioned they could hire a gardener at there, plus the maids work just fine.

Just in case you refer to my post, I said that the Gardener works in University Life but I didn't say that it works at the University.
