I noticed this post has not received a reply. Can anyone verify if it's working nowadays?

I'm blogging a challenge and for story purposes, I want to move four Sims into separate lots, get them all pregnant at once, and then have control over when each baby is born. I would like to make sure that none of the babies are born automatically while I'm playing a different household, since I want to document each Sim's pregnancy and birth story as separate chapters in my blog.

I tested it, and the pregnancy did stop at the third trimester and I received a warning when she was ready to go into labor. Seems to be working currently.

Although, I had some weird bugs here and there, where my Sims would repeatedly nap autonomously, and I could not get them to try for baby until I deleted a custom bed (which usually works fine) and replaced it with a base game bed. Not sure if it has anything to do with this mod or not, just hadn't had that happen before I installed it, so I thought it was worth mentioning.

I think we have another patch release tomorrow, so I'll have to test it again to see if it still works after the patch.

Default Broken by Patch 1.24.102.1020 27th October
After downloading the latest patch 2 of my families have given birth whilst I was playing another household. I enabled my mods and restarted the Sims 4 after patching. Could you please update this mod as I rely on it for rotational play.

I really like this mod but it does not seem to be working anymore and could really use an update.

To those who have missed using this mod, I'm not sure if someone's already mentioned it yet in the comments here, but MC Command Center has pregnancy options. It lets you pause pregnancies just like this mod did before it broke, plus you can do a whole lot of other things if you choose. It sounds overwhelming when you first read it, but it's really pretty easy to use. If you're only interested in the pregnancy options, you can just install the main MCCC module and the pregnancy module and skip the other ones!

Just make sure to backup your game files before every EA patch or expansion/game/stuff pack. My understanding is that the EA updates often break the mod, but it is usually fixed by the creator pretty quickly. But just in case the mod breaks and messes up my game, I like to have everything backed up.

I'll look into updating this one, kind of forgot about it myself as MC Command Center has this functionality built in. I realize not everyone wants to use that though. Shouldn't take too long, maybe later tonight.

My pregnant sims don´t give automatically birth but even when i don´t play for them the pregnancy move from 1 semester to final. Why? Shouldn´t it this mode stop it?

Despite the (mis)name of the mod, this doesn't exactly pause pregnancies - it just delays the labor until you play the household again. So the pregnancy will advance through all the stages up until labor even when not playing that household.

The code checks out, so yes it should be a-okay. I haven't had time to check it with actual experimentation, but it looks right

Apologies for the update for the Nov 13 game patch taking so long. There is one last (possibly only theoretical) bug that I want to address before releasing this. It's working but there could be an odd timing issue with the notifications which could in rare (and again, theoretical) situations cause the notification to start popping up every 12 sim minutes which would be annoying as heck.

I've updated the mod finally after testing countless different variations of how things could go wrong to try and prevent anything from going wrong.

There is one bug, but it's an EA bug that has proven to be difficult to fix (most attempts to do so ended up making it worse). If you visit the lot of an NPC (whether they are a played household or not, ANY npc, with or without this mod) shortly before they are due to go into labor, they will start spawning bassinets every few minutes and the delivery will fail. The process does eventually work once you leave the lot; however, those empty bassinets can remain around causing a mess on the lot.

Does the mod make it so NPC sims also can't give birth? Or is it just for PCs?

Only affects Sims you have played.

Any chance that this still works, or that someone has updated it?
