I have to agree - There are many discrepancies.

For one, the film and music business vary in terms of income earned. However, if you're an established singer/song writer, you are 10 times more likely to earn a lot more money than most established actors.

Doctors make a lot of money, but their pay is inflated by their hours worked. Doctors roughly earn about $150 an hour.

You made a mistake on your titles. The Evil branch and the Thief branch are mixed up.
Other than that, this is a great mod.

minimum wage is like 6.50 here XD

but i don't care what min wage is in rl, in sims I agree that sims have it easy, it needs to be a tad harder to hold my interest, so mods like these are very welcome...

Great mod, definitely going to use it! I hate how easy it is to earn money in the game. It would be good if there was one for Ambitions, Generations and Showtime professions too though.

Love this mod Madam Doofie. If realistic or not, i don't care. I like it the way it is. Thanks for your work!

Will this work with NRaas mods?

I tried to go with at least vaguely realistic and I looked at minimum wages. Tipped employees get very little (which is why I gave culinary career so little) and I found a lot of places were about $7 average. Some were even $5. The point was to make it harder with at least a tiny bit of realism (as in, sims don't go to college, why would anything be more than minimum wage to begin with?). I might do some other flavours after I do some research for the wages of teachers and so on.

Yes it will, but it won't change any of his custom careers.

This is awesome, thanks! This, coupled with a higher bills mod, should serve to keep my poor (it's way to easy to make money in this game.)

I wish you were able to do the jobs for Twallan's Career pack too, ( I understand why you didn't) because it's going to be a bit weird for me to have one sim making a realistic minimum wage, and another in the same household getting 30$+ an hour working at the hospital part time, lol. Oh well, it'll make the game more amusing.

I've actually done Twallan's mods, but just for myself. I'm not sure if I can post alterations to those since it's stealing and all. I'll look into it. (Can you mod a mod? XD)

Thanks for your work on this. Just a note about your reasoning on some of these..You are right about jobs with tips having a lower min wage, however sims don't get tips so that is pretty low and at most places I have seen, the cooks don't get tips and thus earn a higher amount.

Good idea but too low amounts. My particuliar gripe is with part time. People don't earn less money per hour, just work less hours. 2 seems rediculous, they're only at work for ~3 hours, so 6 simoleons per day?

Having worked in the culinary industry your wages for Pastry Chef and up are WAY to low. Especially if they have the paper work to back it up, like certification with the American Culinary Federation or European equivalent.

How hard is this to customize? It seems like everyone has an different idea on what careers should be paid (including myself) and I would like to use this mod with tweaks to suit myself providing 1) that you're OK with this and 2) I could figure out how.

Open the mod in S3PE, open the XML in notepad, find "<Basepay>" and change the numbers. For example change <BasePay>2</BasePay> to </BasePay>23</BasePay>

It's not difficult at all and it works for custom careers too.
