This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.

G'day All,

As requested by Rowey and others, a couple of escalators to add to your multistorey commercial properties. No animations or moving steps, just a new staircase mesh.

I have selected OFB only compatiblity because I'm not sure if they're a new edition or earlier, they've been cloned from the "Stare Stepper" staircase.

Poly Count:-
Original has 2990 faces, 4096 vertices.
With walls has 2554 faces, 3150 vertices.
Without walls has 2542 face, 3126 vertices.

The shadow in the pics under the free standing version has been fixed.

As usual, you may re-colour, distribute this file freely or do what you will with it, but no hosting on paysites, it must remain free.
hed @ Softleigh Simdustries.

These have been updated to minimize the graphic problem with the first attempt, polycount has been slightly reduced.
If you downloaded the first try, please re-download these and replace the original files. I apologise for any inconvenience.

Thanks to Rowey for his help and input.

Please post here if you have any issues.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

i have just realised that the prob is the fact that your CLONING a staircase. if you made a completely new mesh from scratch, i blieve that should work. you cant use anything from OFB.

Yeah sorry waggles, life has caught up to me in recent times. I'm not really sure what you mean with the cloning thing, have to clone it from something. Unless you're referring to the steps themselves which I haven't change from the original.
Building a completely new mesh would take some time and I'm not sure if it would solve our problem.

I have just built a new computer and intend to just have Sims 2 installed on the old one. Should be able to come up with a solution when I've finished doing this. Thanks for your patience.

I've tested this in NightLife and it works great for me. You dont need any EP. Stare stepper comes with original i think

You have outstandingly original ideas bravo! Can you make an EP compatible but not-needed-to-function version of this, but with animations?

Big big big fan! :D

Isn't it funny how you always make fun of that one emo girl because she's different and then realize that you're the reason that she cries at night, and hides in the darkness?
I'm not laughing.
If ya look in the mirror and dont like watcha see you can find out first hand wat its like 2 be me. MCR

I have been looking for these for absolutely ages. I can't believe it was stumbling across your washing lines that finally brought them to my attention. The "right" animations can go to hell, I walk up & down escalators all the damn time.

Thankyou for this.

Thanks, I hate it.

Nice. I can use this in many of my buildings. Like the one for the movie Towering Inferno
