Might be a good idea to include an in-game snapshot.

Requiring an in-game shot seems silly. It just raises ceiling lamps to touch the cieling.

Thanks a ton! I MUST have ceilings on every lot. xD

Not sure it's related, but when I put out lighting (wall lights, in this case) and then went into play mode, the lights just plain dissappeared.

I'll test it again tomorrow to be sure it's this mod and not another one. Right now I'm too sleepy to sit through another game loading.

Hmm, I don't think this is causing that, I only edited some of the meshes to make this, and none of them were wall lights.

I would love to have a mod that made ceiling lights disappear when I have walls down. I find them distracting yet I like my rooms well lit. (I have looked some for this mod but I admit I might have missed it already.)

VERY useful! I hate it when those hanging things seem to whack my sims in the head, and I have ceilings everywhere. Thank you!

Does this Mod do what it says above, because the lights are distracting. I would love to have my house well lit without having to see the celing lights...

Come to me, clouds. May you rise as an evil storm, born to rip them open. Let the cover of night bear witness. Destroy those who resist so they shall harm me not. Let the blood of many cleanse me, preserving beauty eternal, I pray you.

I know it's been a long time since you created and posted this mod, but I'm just wondering if it works with the ceilings that came with AL? That one "recessed" ceiling light floats nowheres near the actual ceiling and I've stopped using it but it was my favorite kitchen light -- over the sink!
