A few people have been requesting this, so here it is. Pretty much exactly the same career from "The Sims: Livin' Large", the same text, skill requirements, working hours, even the same logo (slightly modified). There aren't any chance cards yet, if I do write some they probably won't be the same as the original. It's EP compatible and won't overwrite any other careers.

1. Typesetter ($120)
2. Game Reviewer ($200)
3. Tabloid Writer ($230)
4. Paparazzi ($350)
5. Newspaper Reporter ($420)
6. Meteorologist ($510)
7. TV Reporter ($660)
8. Investigative Reporter ($850)
9. National News Anchor ($975)
10. Talk Show Host ($1200)

People have also been requesting careers from The Sims 1 that have already been done by other modders:

Hacker (
Musician (
Education (
X-Treme (
Fashion (
Circus (
Animal Care (

EDIT: The 'journalism' career is one of the new ones that comes with The Sims 2 : Seasons. I'll keep this up though for people who don't have that expansion or want the exact career from Sims 1.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

I was upset when I first got TS2 and saw this lovely Journalism Career wasn't there (And several others weren't either). Thanks so much for doing this! You've definantly made my day!

Sure that this one works? I've heard new careers very often conflict with the game or other hacks...

Animal Care is posted here:

I haven't tried it in-game yet, so I can't vouch for it or anything, but it is posted here on MTS2, and it looks like it is based on the Sims 1 career!

Thanks for this career track. Need... more... careers... for... variety...!

Journalism Career comes in Seasons. I wouldn't download it (I have Seasons). But it's very fun for people without Seasons!

Thanks! I missed this career. You're so nice to include the list of links to other Sims1 careers.

Wonderful work! Me and my simmians thank you!

Wow, it's beautiful outside. I should probably do something....

Like close the blinds on my window so there isn't a glare on my computer screen.
