This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.

This custom content if it is not clothing, may require a seperate download to work properly. This is available at Colour Enable Package (CEP) by Numenor.

Title

Ten Maxis Match "Value" Mirror Recolours

Description

These downloads contain recolours of the base game "Reflective Glass Mirror", also called the "Value" or simply the "Cheap" Mirror, that sells for §100 and has an Environment value of 1.

The mirrors in SDmirrorvalue_krampt.zip match the four cabinet colours of the base game Krampt Industries Value Counter that sells for §140, as shown above.

As shown in the two pictures above, the SDmirrorvalue_culture.zip collection matches the five cabinet colours of the base game Counter Culture Surface that sells for §200. In addition, a white recolour is included that matches the white counter itself.

For more in this base game Maxis Match series, please see the 8+ Maxis Match "Value" Mirror Completion Set.

You may include these recolours in any uploaded lots, whether for free or pay - although it would be nice if you included a credit in the description and sent me a PM. Apart from using them in lots, I would prefer that you not upload these collections or portions of them elsewhere, if only because such duplication can cause confusion.

Additional Credits:

SimPE 6.0, which makes it all possible
Corel WEB.PhotoPaint, for making the recolours
Microsoft Photo Editor, for re-attaching the back to the mirror and for file conversion
BaseGameStarter Pro, so handy for testing base game compliance and speeding up the development process
Attribute Change 5.30, used to adjust a file's date and timestamp, which puts the recolours together in consecutive order, with the most recent recolour being the one furthest to the left. Thus the mirrors are arranged in alphabetical order within the catalogue popup display from right to left. You might also want to keep each collection in separate subdirectories, which will also keep them together in the catalogue display.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

This is marvellous. That plain square mirror had potential, and you've made good use of it to co-ordinate with the counters. Bravo!

Thanks, these are the first recolours I've downloaded for that mirror, I never understood why it only had one colour.

They really look good.

Thank you RealGanacampo and nanisim, you are most welcome.

Yes, I was getting really frustrated with the limited colour selection. In many Sims households, it is not that I want a more fancy mirror - which might well look out of place in itself - but just that I want to coordinate it with the bathroom colours.

It seems it is the little things that often get overlooked. These are the only other cheap mirror recolours that I know of at MTS2:

4 Recolours of Maxis' Mirror - cool colours

Pawprint Pattern Mirror Collection - cute design

Testers Wanted: 5 Cheap Mirror Recolours - does not work in my game

Binky13y's nasty mirror in Bink-NewEP-TrashedSet.rar at Post #491 of the Trashed Set - I use this one surprisingly often

Thanks Ambsu89. That mustard yellow recolour that goes with the Krampt cabinet isn't much better. I was almost nauseous when I was making it! I think that combination is reserved for Sims I don't like!
