Tweaked a little, this would make awesome gallows . Looks nice as a wooden support too though. Yet.. Shouldn't it stretch to the floor? :\

They have no other parts top them, what you see in the picture is all there is to them.

So they can be placed with what seems like no base, two problems however:

1. Unless the 'moveobjects' cheat is used, nothing can be placed beneath them, such as a flower bed for example.

2. In order to place them on a second floor, a 'floor tile' would need to be present first, as with any other column, but can be deleted after the column has been placed.

I don't personaly know enough about the mechanics of the game to make it any other way, but I am sure someone does

FifthAce - this is an excellent idea and very well made! Thank you!

To help you with the moveobjects cheat - while the moveobjects cheat is in operation you can place an object that normally requires a floor beneath it on any outlined grid (a square that indicates you can paint a floor tile) - so these will work along the upper storeys without any need for a floor.

Your wooden supports look great and realistic with beautiful wood textures.

Update: July 2009-I am back now to make invisible and tranparent recolors again in sims 2. You can pm me if you want your objects to be invisible and transparent from now.

How dark do you want it Pm me an example of the sort of wood you are thinking of and I'll do a re-colour for you Keep in mind that if it is too dark, detail in the wood will get lost

These are great! They would also look good as a whole column (one that goes from floor to ceiling) so that they could be used as stand-alone supports, maybe for a raised house like you see in areas prone to flooding. I know we already have game columns for that, but the style of these is just so much better. Thanks a lot for sharing!

These are great! A concrete or marble version would be nice as suggested by others, even wrought iron? Thanks for your efforts.
