Sensual but tasteful - well done!

Who is the original artist?

The artist of both paintings is Renate Holzner. Yes, sensual but tasteful.
Should I always add the artist's name when I add paintings? I uploaded a few and never thought to add it.

Yes, I think it is appropriate to do so, in the same way that most of the creators here appreciate a credit when someone uses their work. But I just asked because I was interested.

It would also be helpful if you could provide your distribution policy either here or on your profile page for builders who might wish to include the paintings in their uploads. Hmm, I just saw your Spring Garden Set - very nice!

BTW, if you want to switch up your Lady on Red frames I did make a framing kit with several wooden frames as well as more metallics, available for free use here. Oh, sorry, I see you already did do a frame recolour, that's very effective.

Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it.

I'll go and edit the paintings I have uploaded and add the artist's names. What you said makes sense.

I went and checked out your frames and I downloaded them. Great work! Thanks for sharing them. I am sure they will come useful and I will credit you.

I am ready to upload more paintings soon and I will add a notepad in the zip files about my distribution policy.

I am very new to all this and I appreciate you taking the time to give me feedback and suggestions.

You are most welcome!

I think you will find some other framing kits for the various Maxis sizes amongst my Rossetti uploads. You must be using Object Workshop if you've been switching frames? Good for you, because it gives you so much more control over the results than Photo Studio allows. I realized later that the reason I didn't notice your frame was that it was completely appropriate to the painting, so that was well done too!

Ok, I will look on your Rossetti uploads for other framing kits. Thanks!
Yes, I am using Object Workshop. I am trying to learn how to change the frames as I go. Cuz often the usual frame doesn't suit the painting or the surroundings.

I am glad that you find that the frames I used were appropriate to the painting, I always try to match it as best I can.

I did those on my laptop, and now I am on my desktop and I find it's all so dark. I am thinking I need a new monitor for my desktop because it's always too dark, and I can't make it lighter. Ah well.

Anways, thanks again!!!

Yes I have exactly the same problem between my desktop and latop. This really through me for a loop when I first started doing painting conversions - and nobody wanted to tell me if they were too light or dark on their computers! I hope you don't mind if I mention how I dealt with this because I could sure have used some advice at the time. The typical lighting levels in the game seem to be on the dark side anyway. So I figured I should at least make my recolours so that I could see them on my darker monitor. Typically I lighten the paintings by about 15% before importing them. The thing to watch for is that you don't lose detail in the whites, that is the limiting factor. Of course some paintings are by nature intended to be darker or lighter than others.

very beautiful, fantastic job
