I`v got the same error message, than I pasted the program file "Cas_switcher100" into my download folder. When I like to start the program I have to search it in my DL-Folder. Now it works!

I would like to use this in my Anygame folder - will it work if I put it in my Anygame Downloads folder in lieu of my regular game's downloads folder? Meaning, I'd like to install it in
C:\Documents and Settings\Me\My Documents\AnyGameStarter\AnyGame1\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
in lieu of
C:\Documents and Settings\Me\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads

Just wondering if the .exe looks in the directory it's installed in, or if it's going to look in the actual EA Games > The Sims 2 > Downloads, regardless of where I put it...

Does that make sense?!?

Your kind consideration will be greatly appreciated!

Sorry for the delay in answering questions. Built a new computer awhile back and didn't get around to installing all my Sims 2 stuff until just now.

As Adelheid said, the program file ( cas_switcher100.exe ) needs to be in the actual "Downloads" folder, not in the CAS folder. And that is the ONLY place it will work from.

If you'd like to provide some details of what does/doesn't happen when you try running the program I'll try to help you get it working.

Now that you have it working, you can right click the program in your file manager and create a shortcut using "Send To / Desktop" so you don't have to go to the Downloads folder each time to use it.

It should work, as the .exe only looks to see if it is in a folder called "Downloads" and that there is a folder within that called CAS. I haven't had a chance to reinstall Anygame on my system to give it a try.

Woah! Um... To be honest... I had no idea how to switch CAS screens at all... But, I just got this idea that having a themed CAS would help inspire me to create sims, but I didn't want to lose the plain looking CAS! But, this is perfect!

Yaaaay! My computer's compatible with this awesome download! I had a hassle with downloading CAS! screens, too, so I quit downloading CAS! Screens. But that was because the CAS! Screens never really worked, I guess because I'm horrible at installing CAS! Screens, LOL!!!
I have 1 question: All we REALLY need to do is just extract the screens to that CAS! folder thing that comes with this, right? And it'll do the rest, we won't need to add any photos, just add the files to the folder and switch them using your program??? Thanks!!

Ooh, thanks! LOL, I didn't rename the file or add photos, though, LOL!!! Next time, when there are better CAS! screens, I will!

Hi, thanks for this creation!

I have got the program working but cant get the pics to show up.
Im running vista
the photos are re named to match
(mod01.package - mod01A.jpg...)

I was wondering if you need a separate folder for the photos or where am i meant to store them? I have tried moving them around to different folders but I still cant get them to show up??

Dont know if you still read these posts but if you know what I am doing wrong please let me know. thanks!

What a great program!

I do have a question-If I want Maxis' original CAS back, will I have to delete the CAS switcher, or can I just download the CAS file from Maxis, and put it in to the CAS folder, or what?

Thank you i love it...! but, when i changed my CAS screen, the objects that are from the original CAS are still there. They wont go away :/ and they are not part of the one i downloaded..... do i have to overwrite or change the old files manually? i installed it just as you said so i don't know why its behaving oddly :/

thanks in advance!!
