btw, it's possible that my program failed to read the packages...
i mean, it may be my program's bug
i can't say that my program reads all packages any time..
it's a very primitive program which i wrote from
my limited programming knowlegde so it's not
complete at all..

Ok, just checking that I'm reading a post up thread right; the Cloner is incompatible with InTeen, or just the Skin Changer?
I'm asking because I tried installing the Cloner, I have InTeen installed, and all I got was the the following menu options: View, Clone Neighbor (which did nothing) and Last Name copy On/Off.
I have the Base, Uni and Night Life installed.

the cloner is an independent mod, so it will not conflict with inteen.
but the skintone selector mod is a global mod, and it won't be compatiable with inteen.

Huh. Wonder why the cloner isn't working for me then.

EDIT: Ok, I think I have it figured out, I forgot about the official patches.

The cloner works fine on a normal residential lot, but doesn't work at all in a dorm or frat house.
And the stupid patch thinks it is already updated.

young adults can't be cloned and they can't clone themselves either.
in other words, young adults must not be the 'source' sims.
teens or adults will be okay, but young adults, they can't be cloned.
that's why you cannot see some of the menus when you are on a
dorm or frat house (because on those lots, most of the neighborhood sims are young adults, so the cloner fails to find an adequate candidate). ^^;;

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. there goes my plan for an all clone sorority, unless i get creative with the ager in a regular lot.

Just one question. The Changer is only showing up in Buymode when I'm building in private Places, but it's not showing up in public Places, for Example i can't place it in a Club or Mall.
Is there a Way to fix this?

Hello dear friend: I recently had a pc crash & had to reinstall windows which made me reinstall all my sims games over. Anyways I'm slowly getting almost everything back& all my cc works fine with the exeption of skintone changer. when I run cpack editor it searches & comes up with this notice: sorry, but there's no skintone file in that folder. In the bottom window it says: package is already registered at action string nod 0x16 MDS... & lots of numbers&letters. I went ahead & installed all the recommended patches to no avail. In the game on the painting all I see is view, preferences, set custom skintone& maxis choices. I can't figure this out. I've used this for about two years no problem. Why it doesn't work now. I'm so dependent on this great creation of yours. i also found out the surgery doesn't work with your clothes changer but maybe that's due to the fact that I have'nt installed my university expan. That doesn't matter much but this addicting skintone changer bugs the hell out of me. I removed it from my document folder i guess that's the only way since there doesn't seem to be any unistall botton anywhere . upon downloading it again it seems it remembers the task of registering that skintone & I get the same massage. What & how should I do to completely remove it so it thinks it's new on my computer if that would solve this problem by downloading it again &running it from a fresh start. can you please help me? i'll be very happy my friend christianlov. you're a great modder. I have a question i am getting a weird error message at the end of my scan in the CL Tool it tells me "Can't find make action string file in (name of file i chose)"
also what file should i choose for the second browser (custom skintone selector file)

You have to first set up a skinselector.package that will be unique to your own game files.

First you need christianlov's CL Tool to do this. He took it down, but Rhondalette posted the version she still had. The link is in this thread:

After you have downloaded the CL Tool, open it (outside the game) follow the instructions earlier in this thread as to how to go about setting up your unique skintoneselector.package. The CL Tool will search the folder you direct it to (usually your downloads folder) for skintone packages, and overwrite the default skintoneselector.package (the one that just has the maxis default skins). You will then be able to choose custom skintones from the object in the game.

InTeen will cause the sims to revert to their original skintones, but if you remove your InTeen files, the sims will change again to the chosen skintones. (Of course, then you don't have InTeen to use).

Unfortunately, the version of the CL Tool that Rhondalette had available did not have christianlov's updated DNA fixer tool with it

If anyone has the version with the DNA fixer tool, I would be extremely grateful if they could share it

I just downloaded it and there was the readme files but no actual skintone editor to run anything from. Only readme files and 3 pictures! Am I stupid and have they been removed or somthing? :-0.

I downloaded the file that Rhondalatte posted but I'm interested to know how to fix the issue with InTeen making them revert to their original skins? Its pretty annoying. What is the hotfix?
