This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
Well, this IS my first upload. :^D

It's 8 different types of body hair, to be used as accessories. It can be used with every kind of clothes, but I'm too dumb to make it work with naked sims. If someone knows how to do it, I'm listening. :^D

Its avaiable from teen to elder. It's based in the glove mesh, so, no gloves for hairy sims. But it's based on the FEMALE glove, so it's recolorable.

Even way, it's working. And now you can make that hairy friend of yours in The Sims 3!

There's a lot of people to thanks for:

AllenABQ for the inspiration (Dude, I wouldn't like Sims 2 so much, without his skins!)
Delphy for the CTU (without it I'll be playing the vanilla version forever - or will ask my money back, don't know)
Daluved1 for helping me twice (even she knows only one of them)
Hysterical Paroxism, for making piercings. We will have some to this version too?

That's it.

Accessory Type: Misc
Age: Teen Young Adult Adult Elder
Maxis Flags: Not Applicable
Gender: Male

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Thank you so much! I make sure to put these on all my men. It looks so great, and really helps give them some much needed masculinity.

But I've been wondering, since I've seen the new tattoo option in Ambitions; could it be possible to convert these body hair to Ambition tattoos? That way:

1. Everyone would be able to enable hair only on the body part of their choosing, for example only arms or legs, in the corresponding tattoo section.

2. It would become available for females too, as I've seen people asking about a female version here.

3. It would eliminate the biggest problem right now: you can't wear gloves with these on, and they disappear when the sim gets naked. That wouldn't be the case if they were tattoos, since they're in the skin colour category.

If the author isn't able to, then does anybody who's reading this have enough skills to convert them? Sadly I don't, otherwise I'd do it and ask the author for the permission to upload it.

I second this

So after I installed Late Night, the hair doesn't seem to work anymore - it shows only part of it, and its REALLY splotchy, its like black dots on the skin. Does this happen to anyone else?

I have the same problem as zomgar2340: since installing Late Night, the body hair started to look horrible in-game... but while in CAS it still looks as good as always. Any idea on what could be the problem? The game is not the same without your creation, Panthro!

body hair stays on if you use NRaas MasterController and edit the sim in CAS when they are nude. I do agree with zomgar2340, there is a problem with the hair rendering since Late Night.

There isn't a way around the rendering. I've tried everything, it looks like splochy garbage. Same for the detailed skin tight clothing.

Any interest in making default replacements for the body hair in the new (1.22) patch? I'm less than thrilled with the EA version.

I imagine you could do wonders with that. *wink wink*]

But please convert these, they're awesome!

So On my quest for Body hair and "Bear" sims i bring the PanthroPack!
As it's Really Panthro's work I see no reason to submit them and if Panthro wish's to just add these files to this entry the work is done.
I have Used the above tool and set each of the Panthro Hairy Bodies as Forearms... This was because well I wanted to layer more chest and back so arms seemed a good place.

Hope this does not "brake the rules" too much. It's all for the love of sim after all.

I'd like to build a world, a better world.
Guess I'll start here...

I take it these chest hair downloads are only for TS3 and not TS2?

Can I apply this to already existing Sims (in TS2) or only when I'm creating a Sim? I have 3 Sims in place (2nd generation, too) who should have chest hair added. (I write Sims 2 Stories and I have always pictured them this way even though I had no way to do it in the game).

You realize this is a Sims3 download, right?

So, not sure if this is supported anymore, but since I just patched to 1.34 the body hair looks just like a dark blur over the skin, with no clarity whatsoever. I'm not sure if this is settings, or a messed up save, mod clashes, or something, but it doesn't seem to be working right anymore.

Looks a thousand times better than the EA hair from generations.

Also it still works with the latest patch, which right now is 1.42/Seasons.
