Hi! I've been working on this house for about a week. It's my first entirely original design. I feel like my architecture skills have declined from the first Sims games, to the second, and onto the third, so I set out to prove to myself that I still had SOMETHING in regards to architectural savvy.

Up til now I've just been renovating the default homes and others' work I've found on MTS. I've always had trouble making houses too symmetrical, so with this one I forced the design on its side to prevent the interior from becoming a predictable mess. It has a pretty rigid layout still, but the spaces possess a harmonious flow I was quite pleased (and surprised) with. I hope you are as well! :-)

The rooms are all very large, lending themselves to large families and parties. Most lots I've played have been really modern so I wanted to experiment extensively with the more traditional furnishings the game has to offer. The house is fully furnished and features...
-front and rear foyers
-kitchen w/ island dinette
-formal dining w/ grand fireplace
-rec room
-parlor
-3 bedrooms w/ private baths
-gym/guest room
-2 gardens
-patio dining and bbq
-garage
-pool
-attic
I also had a lot of fun with landscaping this lot! There are flowers and vegetation everywhere you look.

The lot is almost entirely flat, and there weren't any advanced building techniques like half-levels and basements used. Just spacious, practical planning and an eye for composition. ;-)

There was no fan-made custom content used, however I did use TS3 store items. The list is as follows...
