Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
A minimalistic house for a single sim or two, with a covered porch on the side. All basics are there (bookcase, stereo, dresser, mirror, and a full kitchenette) but no more than that and no room for any extras.

1 x double bedroom
1 x bathroom
1 x kitchen/dining/living room

Prices given below (F = Furnished; U = Unfurnished) are when placed on a regular 20x30 lot.

Built on the smallest lot I have (16x18), so it can be rotated in any direction on every other lot. I think all sides of this house would look good as a street side.

Please don't PM me with questions. Post questions/feedback about this particular house in this thread, generic build mode stuff in the Build Mode forum. Thanks.

Base Game content only. This house will look exactly like on the screenshots.

Lot Size: 2x2
Lot Price: 10.540§ F, 8.924§ U
Number of bedrooms: 1 Bedroom
Custom Content Included: None
Furnishings: Fully Furnished
Special Flags: Not Applicable

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Hey, I really love your houses! I like this one and #16, they are absolutely great! Your good work is the reason why I'm even not using the motherlode-cheat, because also small houses looks great. :o)

Love your houses. I wish I could use them and be aesthetically pleased from the map view. Unfotunately, while your download descriptions note they are a particular lot size (for example, this one is 2x2), once they are in game the actual lot size is 16x18. This results in the edges being set back 4x2 into the lot, making for a very non appealing cutoff to the drive and walk up that can not be fixed.

Any idea why your lots come out odd sized or how I might be able to say... stretch...them to fit an actual 2x2 lot?

It says in the text that it's 16x18. The game also tells you what size a lot is when you attempt to place it.

The "2x2" is from a data field that you have to fill in when you upload a house here; it only offers values between 1 and 6.

Users are meant to be able to place buildings on any lot that is the same size or larger than the one they were built on – this is an inherent feature of the game. Users have no direct influence over where it will be placed; the game always puts them in the middle – also an inherent feature, like it or not. Stuff like "cut off" driveways and the like can very easily be fixed, just enter build mode and make it as long as you need it.

Stuff for TS2 · TS3 · TS4 | Please do not PM me with technical questions – we have Create forums for that.

Thanks for the reply. Seeing that they were center and not meeting the lot edge when placed I never even bothered to check if it was editable in build/buy. That resolves my sadness with not using your lots and also makes my Po Folk subdivision a go.

In the sims 3 everything is so expensive, can't even build a nice house under 40,000, but you proved that wrong. it looks good for single people, but you can always build onto it as they get more money i gues.. i'll take it. lol

This is currently my very favourite house! I've got all the Wee Barnoids I think, most of them in the same world even. Thank you so much for them! I've been enjoying your houses for my sims ever since I found the first one for TS2 way back.
