can you make a second version that uses the night-life floating animation?

does supernatural have floating animation? if so, can you also make a supernatural version?

Nope, that animation does not look at all right with this mesh. (Also, having a vampire hovering over an open coffin rather than sleeping in it doesn't really make sense anyway! )

As far as I know, SN doesn't add a new floating animation, seems to be the same as the one that came with LN.

How would someone make an animation so the coffin can close? is it possible?

It might be possible, but it would be very difficult and time-consuming and require a lot of knowledge of animating, and the relevant software to do it with. If you do want to try doing it yourself, you would extract the animations from the original Sims 2 item and remake them for Sims 3. Coincidentally, a thread has just been started on that subject here, which you might want to take a look at in case it points you in the right direction: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=513329

Does this bed still work after Supernatural? Mainly with the 1.67 update.

Yes. Despite its unusual appearance it's just a regular bed, so it will work with any update that doesn't specifically change the coding of regular beds. Just make sure you're using the PETS version and not the old original version.

It was cloned from a regular single bed, so if your children are of an age that they can sleep in a regular single bed, then they should be able to use this (I hope - it's been a long time since I played TS3).

I love this item! Thanks so much for sharing it with us

Is it possible to make the platform using it's own color channels?
Right now it is using the same as the coffin, at it looks very weird. I'd love to be able to make a stone platform, for example.

Don't know what you mean about the platform using the same colour channel as the coffin, because it is not the same channel, as is clear from both the screenshots and the description. In any case, it would probably be possible to add an additional colour channel to the platform, but no more than one, because a TS3 object can only have a maximum of 4 colour channels and this item already has 3. If you want to try doing it yourself, feel free. (I no longer support my TS3 creations.)

Glad you like the item anyway, thank you

I've read the description, and looked at the pictures. But in my game, this is what the object looks like

4 channels, coffin and platform uses the same channel, and there are 2 channels that seems to be re-coloring nothing.

I have your most recent update of the pets version.

I fired up my old TS3 game and saw what you mean - this was the first object I ever made, nearly 6 years ago, and you are the first person (including me) to notice this! Yes, the base and coffin shell are indeed mistakenly using one channel instead of two as intended - I guess the reason nobody ever noticed was that the shell is so much darker than the platform.

Unfortunately I've just spent the last couple of hours trying to fix it (having thought it would be a quick easy fix) but nothing I tried worked as expected, all resulting in worse problems than the original. I retired from TS3 creation 3 years ago and am completely rusty at TS3 creation techniques, and totally not interested in 'going there' ever again, hence why my profile page says I no longer support my TS3 creations. Really sorry - as mentioned, if you know how to work on TS3 objects you're very welcome to have a go at remasking it. Sorry not to be of help.

Ah, bummer =/
I was also hoping it was something that was easy to fix. I have no experience what so ever working with TS3 objects - other than changing a few things in sp3e, so I wasn't looking forward to try to fix it myself. :P
I have tried to find some kind of tutorial for how to fix something like this, but as I don't really know the first thing about creating objects, I wasn't able to find anything I could understand.

Thanks for looking into it though!
I will continue to try to solve the problem, maybe look for someone else that knows how to do it.

Thanks anyway, I will still use the bed, because it's awesome!

Someone else may have converted this same item - after all, it's a TS2 item converted to TS3, not my own creation, and many creators did TS2 to TS3 conversions, so it might be worth Googling to see if there's another conversion on some other site which was colour-masked better. This was my first object and I was very inexperienced back then - rather embarrassing really, to find out it had that flaw all this time!

I have already googled it - and yours is the only one I've been able to find thus far.

I understand that you feel embarrassed, but hey, as you said, you were inexperienced! It's totally ok. And the bed works as a bed, which is most important.
I know of objects from experienced people, that doesn't even work as intended, so don't feel bad!

Hee hee, yes, at least I've always fully tested my creations on three different PCs with three different settings, to make sure they work correctly! I was just too new at the technique of TS3 texturing back then to make the CaST channels properly on this item. I've now changed the text in the description to say that it has two channels, not three - thank you for discovering the problem!

All my sims are vampire so this will be the perfect bed for them. I do find that the animation is quite off when using this bed. Still it does look good.
