This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.

Now you can put your own knick knacks on this previously useless shelf. It now has 20 slots, cost 75, and can be found in Surfaces/Misc. Comes with the original presets.

Issues:Furniture can be placed under the shelf, but only before you place anything on it (but a filled shelf can be placed over funiture).
If you have problems placing an object, try it from a higher angle of view.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Thank you so, so much!!

I would even pay for these downloads . I'm sure many people have already asked (I'm to lazy to look through every page of comments) : will you do this to the other shelves as well? I would adore you til the end of time!

Thanks again for this one!!

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?
Not actually evil.

love it, but is it supposed to over write the original?

Dean, "I got a question for ya, you seen a lot of horror movies, yeah?"
Girl, "I guess so"
Dean, "Do me a favour next time ya see one, pay attention. When someone says a place is haunted, don't go in"

My favorite content... EVER!

Thank you so much for the work you've done with all your shelves but especially for this one. It's so versatile because it's OFF the floor. I've used it in every house I've built or bought since I downloaded it.

Does this work with the newest patch (1.29)?

Can anybody please deny or confirm if this is now working with Pets? It's a brilliant shelf and would be horrible if it's never to be used again.
