Great idea! Awesome space-saver and perfect for poor sims just starting out. Nice work, thanks!

Haha I was actually going to try and make something like this and call it a kindle. It would also be able to purchase books right there and you just read the physical object.

What's stopping you? Sounds like a good idea to me.

Wow! This is amazing! I thought bookshelves weren't creatable yet? And chance you would be willing to tell us how you did it?

I gave it it's own script class that uses the bookshelf class and disables all the options but "open bookshelf", since the other options have animations that depend on routing slots and such.

Great idea! Now I could make those scary stacks of books teetering on my desk, like in real life, and have them be readable and usable by my sims! If I played TS3, that is. If I ever do, my DL folder will be chock full of your useful stuff.

Someone really needs to make a Monty Python's Big Bok recolor for this.

edti: Big round of applause for discovering something new and implementing it so nicely.

I was just thinking how good it would be if there was some way to put books in the clutter-cases. This is wonderful!

LOL -- you win the prize for creating a problem (bookcases that no longer hold books) and then solving it (book you can put on those bookcases)!

Seriously, very ingenious indeed, and so nicely implemented with the lil touches like the stackability and the recolorability.

Thank you very much for this unique book storage device. Since we have to drop and drag books, I assume that Sims will not autonomously read books if this is the only book storage in the lot and there are no books in their inventory. If so, I think this is a great way to control what and when our Sims read.
