This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Hello fellow Trekkies!

Here is my first rendition of one of the jackets from Star Trek Online. The game inspired me to create such a jacket for The Sims 3, so I decided to go all out and re-design the Mesh and the Textures. Everything was hand-drawn to replicate as close as possible for realism.

The Jacket is available for:

Teens (to be revised soon with a new mesh)
Young Adult
Elder (to be revised soon with a new mesh)

Polygon Counts:
HQ - 2047 vertices, 9570 faces.
MQ - 1230 vertices, 4722 faces.
LQ - 777 vertices, 2313 faces.

Re-colourable channels: 4
1) Top Padding
2) Main Jacket Color
3) Collar and Padding Trim
4) Badge and Rank

Additional Credits:
Thanks for the inspiration from Cryptic Studios, Inc., Atari - Star Trek Online.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Default Future updates
I wanted to put this mod out there so you guys could find the stuff I didn't right away, I am glad I waited

Anywho.... here are the things I am looking into:

1) Currently only the Young Adult Male/Adult Male can use the jacket. Will check to see if I can correctly fix the meshes for Teen Male and Elder Male. Will also do the Female version too.

2) Made a 4th color version of the jacket to have the "correct" colors of the Dk Grey/Black/Red, set as the 1st default one.

3) Instead of just removing the badge/ensignia from the graphic, thinking it would work better if it was an accessory, rather than part of the jacket. That way you could add more ranks, remove ranks, or remove the comm badge, etc.

Now I have a basic model as an accessory, now to clean it up, and then make the "ranks".

I still cannot use the jacket in my game... Does the mesh come with the download or do I need to get it from somewhere else? I don't know much about meshes (obviously).

That is pretty cool..thanks alot? Is that actually what the uniforms look like in Star Trek Online? So they are just throwing years and years of canon out the window? Even in the "future trek" episodes the uniforms are similar to the "present day" star fleet uniforms....

anyway rant over, thanks alot

Just wondering if we could get an update on your progress. These are very nice, it'd be a shame to see them go to waste.

love it, just maybe make it without the rank pips and make a jewelry thing for them, so I can have a chief, ensign, lieutenant junior grade, lieutenant, lieutenant commander, commander, captain, rear admiral lower half, rear admiral upper half, vice admiral and fleet admiral.

I realize the creator of this jacket hasn't been here for quite some time. I would still like to note, in the hopes that he returns, that this jacket does not work properly with base/SN/LN/ST/WA/Seasons. It does not show up in the game when installed as a .package file. It has been posted as a sims3pack on TSR. That file does not work either. It shows up, but the last color panel causes the entire sim to shine and turn whatever color is in that final panel from the neck down. It would be awesome if someone, anyone could create a fix for this top. It looks very nice and I would love to add it to my game.

For some reason, Delphy's Dashboard says this file is corrupted (Bad ages - Child + Adult).
