Sims 2 Plantsim Hair for Male and Female, Teen to Elder

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
The latest world by the very talented kiwi_tea, the Sims 2 Riverblossom Hills remake (http://www.modthesims.info/d/429780 ) which also included remakes of the inhabitants of the original town including the plantsim Rose Greenman, inspired me to convert the Sims 2 plantsim hair for Rose to wear for my game.

The hair is in two versions: 1) TS2PlantsimHairM+F,T-E_byEsmeraldaF_Original, a straightforward conversion with the original colours and textures for those who want the hair to look authentic as it did in The Sims 2, and 2) TS2PlantsimHairM+F,T-E_byEsmeraldaF_Recolourable, a recolourable version for those who would like a bit of variety. The two versions are compatible and can be in your game at the same time, so you can use both.

It's for men and women teen to elder, and is found in the Hat Hairs section in CAS. (I may make versions for children and toddlers at some point in the future.)

Here's kiwi_tea's Rose Greenman wearing the original converted hair:

Here's the original conversion vs the recolourable conversion - you can achieve some pretty effects by using patterns on the hair as well as colours. The recolourable version has three recolourable areas: the leafy main hair, the stems of the little sprigs that sprout up on top, and the buds of the sprigs.

Below are three examples - the original version and the recolourable version in solid red with blue buds, and in patterned:

(Background in above pic is a house from the custom world Hammond Island by TVRDesigns: http://www.modthesims.info/d/404080 )

If you want to make your plantsims even more authentic, you can try the plantsim skin as tattoo converted by emhpb, here: http://www.modthesims.info/d/387593

One issue: As is usual with custom Hat Hair, this hair will revert to a base game hair when the sim is in the bathtub or shower. You can make it stay on while bathing by giving them the 'Never Nude' trait if it bothers you - but I just don't look at my sims while they're bathing!

Hope you enjoy this hair and having a few plantsims running around your town!

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Thank you so much!! I've been missing the weirdness of TS2!!

Only question though, if a plant sim is a Vegitarian, does that mean they're a cannibal? :P

Thanks for this, I've missed plant-sims a lot! I hope you make the "flower-hair" the plant-sim-toddlers used to have as well for all ages, that would be cool! I wonder if the clothes can be found somewhere...

To cool! I love the FairyFolk, this is a great hair for them. Without the "flowers" would be good for the GuySims. I'm wondering about the Children & Toddlers, are there any plans for expanding your creation to include them? pretty please....

Love this! Wonder how hard this'd be to change it to an accessory, so that it could be combined with longer hair. So that the leaves look like their coming of hair instead of only being leaves.

This hair IS a Sims 2 hair, which I converted for the Sims 3. If you have the Seasons expansion pack for The Sims 2, you already have it. If not, then get the Seasons expansion pack, and you will get Plantsims with their hair and clothes.

Also, this thread is not really a useful place to make a request for something to be made for Sims 2!

Now that we have actual Plantsims in Sims 3 I wonder if we'll be able to use custom hair on them. It would be great to use this hair instead of their defaults

I've just seen screenshots where someone has a TS3 Plantsim wearing custom hair, so it looks like it's doable.

I don't have Uni yet but from what I've seen, the default Plantsim hair doesn't seem to look very good, so I'll be trying this hair on them myself when I get Uni!
