Lovely. You can really see the work put in this. I love Pompeii, it is fabulous to visit and it is like you've brought it back to life. I also like how you tried to reproduce the murals on the walls.

Pompeii is a real lift roman town destroyed by ash from Vesuvius a very long time ago. Here's some pics for you: http://www.google.no/search?q=pompe...iw=1152&bih=739

This house is a reconstruction of the most famous villa the archeologists dug up. You don't need the exchange, the download link is here.

Thank you everyone

great effort, love the interiors most especially. with regards to your musings on why they put a lot (and I mean, A LOT!) of porticoes, and hallways (man, going Architect Mosby mode makes me feel uber geeky now, gross) it's mainly for two purposes, functionally, since Italy is a lovely sunny, balmy country, they use it to bring in the winds and circulate air in their domiciles. They didn't have airconditioning then, so it is a must.

Second, it definitely adds grandeur to the place, with all those open hallways featuring lovely carved marble columns, friezes, paintings, and other artwork, what better way to say, "MY HOUSE IS BETTER THAN YOURS!"

And in case you were wondering, those "Viridarium " places are gardens. Aside from the stature equated with the size of the house, the size of the gardens, like any modern palatial estate nowadays, add to the WOW factor as well.

Again lovely house, and thanks.

Thank you for the architectural insight dctimbol. I did know the viridarium was gardens and they had gardens below too apparently. This is a game so I have to think about functionality for the gamers. If I lived in Italy I might find the need for these hallways, but we don't really build houses like that anymore do we? I'm glad you like it

You can always download it and see what you end up with

If you would like to download this with as little as possible, Pets would be a good thing to have. Both for the doors and kitchen, and for the stables. You need the nectary to work. The fogemitters might also be needed. Those Awesims cornice would be a hassle to replace. Guatla bricks is only used in the edge lot fence. The fence from luna is used in most garden and roof edges. These items might not be replaced by the game.

hm ... first I thought you were talking about the fogemitter, but now I remember I found a floor hygienator in the buydebug one time. The effect was still there when I removed the thingi, so not recommended to use if you might change your mind later

Hey, I wanted to redownload this lot, but the CC building links are broken. Is there any other place to download the necessary items?
