But the dingroom chair seems to dissapear and re-appear randomly when my sims sits on it. Any idea why that is?

However, I can confirm that the dinning chair does disappear. If you decided you want to track down the issue this is what my test showed.
1. The dinning chair disappearing is NOT random.
2. The dinning chair disappears ONLY when a sim pulls it out from the table, such as when they sit at the table but are not eating. (See picture below.)
3. It reappears when pushed back in, such as when eating at the table or when the sim gets up and pushes the chair back in to the table
4. I can set the chair at an angle with no issues of the chair disappear it is ONLY if the sim pulls it out from the table.
5. Sims can sit in the chair with no issues even when the chair is invisible.

Testing conditions
I have NOT tested it in a CC free game and I have lots of CC.
However I did tested over 12 other CC dinning chairs at the same time to see if any others had the issue and they did not.
Dashboard does not flag the chair file as conflicting with another CC part or as having any other issues.
I am patched to 1.55

I might just use the dinning chair as a living chair, then it won't have the issue of disappearing when pulled out from the table. Might that be a key to the problem that this chair lacks the "pulled out mesh" for some reason?

Yes, I know it's 2019, but I'm still playing The Sims 3. xD I'm having the chair disappearing issue as well. Gorgeous set! I reeeally hope this gets fixed!
