This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Who needs fancy hardware and funky shapes? This simple wooden ladder will get you up where you need to go and back down when your done.

Notes
  • When placing the ladder the floor above is covered with a floor tile. Simply use the sledgehammer tool to remove it.
  • The ladder has a one tile footprint, but a space needs to be left one tile in front on the bottom level and one tile in the back on the upper level for access.
  • There are no animations, sims simply teleport up/down.
  • Tested with patch 1.36

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

That sounds like a good idea, but not everyone has Generations, and I think only kids can use the bunk bed anyways. Adults have to use ladders too! But good idea for a kids-only fortress.

Adults can use the bunk beds too, so it remains a possibility to grab animations from.

Even without animations, I love the idea of this, and I'll download.

I didn't know they could! I'll see about that.

And it's attitudes like this that makes a creator wonder why the hell they make things, when the response is rude, demanding and unthankful. Go learn to create stuff yourself and then you can have a ladder (not latter) with animations.

Sri - A teleporter pad is actually on my To-do list!

To everyone else - Thanks and I hope you enjoy it as it is.

Yaay, this ladder can be placed in basements!

Does anyone have a suggestion how to make the hole in the floor? When I remove the floor tile, it just shows the grass underneath.

I am so sorry such rudeness appeared in your comments. You didn't even have to do this much for us, but you did...you have my gratitude.

HL, CyberBob has a teleporter-style staircase at http://www.den.simlogical.com/denfo...hp?topic=1011.0 just in case that's what you were planning - to save you duplicating anything unnecessarily that already exists. May not be what you had in mind though.
