Worked --on the first try, no less-- like a charm, and the items are nice.

I did notice something odd, though: When you stack books on books, the pile looks like it should tip over. I don`t know much of anything yet about Sims 3 modding; is there any way that a second slot could be added that only accepts more books, but does so in preference to the existing slot? If not, a normal second slot would be just as welcome.

There is some ability to designate slots to hold small, medium, or large objects, but as far as I know, no way to designate a slot for a specific decorative type.

However, even if I put a second slot on the books, there would be no way for you to activate it, since the item in the first slot would crowd it out; they would be too close together.

About what I expected from my breif readings on the subject. Thank you.

Not a problem --I even expected that, from the behavior of EA`s own slots. I wouldn`t expect them both to be used at the same time even if they could be; the point was only to provide an alternate location for the single item on the object, so that the stack of stacks of books wouldn`t look like the famous Tower in Piza (Pisa?), Italy. There are at least two methods of guiding the object into the correct slot; one can drag it until it snaps into the one one wants, or one can use the M key to move between available slots [the M key option, by the way, has been around since The Sims 1, not just the Sims 3 base-game as some report; not sure, however, if it dates back to the Sims 1 base-game itself] --and as long as I can choose which slot the item goes into, I don`t care if it blocks the other slot.

Anyway, even without the second slot [or even without the first, for that matter], this still makes re-cluttering the emptied book-cases with not-always-identical clutter easier.

Well, in that case, another slot on the bookstack is definitely possible =P I will have a go at it either today or tomorrow.

Thank you, both for the updated object [redownloaded already :D] *and* the PM telling me that it was available. Will be installing the replacement object SOON.

...and MTS reply-with-quote STILL doesn`t have a "This is a Thanks post" option? Hmmph!
