Thanks for testing and letting me know! Now to get off my butt long enough to do the official upload, lol.

I have a question: is it possible to show the address instead of the hash. The point is that nraas unhashed key did not showed this address.

I don't know what you mean by address but I think you mean the original string that was hashed to the ID number in the STBL. I haven't used the NRaas Packer but it looks like it stores that information in the packages it creates in a custom format. That information is not explicitly stored in standard packages with STBLs but my tool displays the strings, and in most cases the English string will be the original string.

Sorry to annoy you, but since you're apparently still in tune, might i ask how is the xml importing function supposed to work?

I've exported the entire (base) game's strings to an xml and then trimmed it down to just the few dozen strings i wanted to actually modify, but no matter what i do i can't seem to import them back into the package. Even tried to mess with the xml parsing itself to see if it was the problem, but seems like the tool correctly verifies the parsing since it throws an error whenever i modify something that clearly shouldn't work, but doesn't say anything when it parses correctly (but still does nothing).

Am i misunderstanding how one is supposed to use the import feature?

I'll have to refresh my memory but I don't think there was anything tricky about it. Please upload your package and the modified xml you're trying to import.

Alright, the package itself is practically just an empty brand new STBL tag, and the xml itself still has a few bunch of superfluous lines that i might not end up altering but left there because not sure if i'll change my mind.
Attached files:
File Type: zip  Robs_Job_Overhaul.zip (59.7 KB, 9 downloads)
Description: Zipped folder with the package (currently only contains an empty STBL file, along with the exported xml (trimmed down to mostly just the strings i actually intend to replace)

The problem is that the export/import function is intended to make it easier to update translations, not to make new ones. You have to export from an existing STBL and import the updated translations to the same package. It uses the key to find and replace text. Sorry.

Ooh so that's how it works. It's a shame since there's literally thousands of strings, but i guess i could manually delete each string i do not want, though that would take a very long while. Thank you for clarifying!

hey, i just wanted to ask if this tool requires any other component besides .net framework 3.5? cuz i got 4.5 (2.0 and 3.5 net versions) installed and the .exe stills not opening. it doesn't throw any error, just doesn't open. i've already tried to run it as and admin, changed to compatibility mode and it is still not running. any idea how can i fix this issue?

.net framework 3.5 should be all it needs. If it won't start and there's no error message, possibly your antivirus is blocking it. You can try making the folder an exception. Otherwise, the only thing I know of you can do is to search the system error logs which should have recorded the error even if there's no message.
