@gummilutt and lucy_kemnitzer: I altered the foods now. Haven't done the tutorial yet, though. I might come up with something else instead (see below).
Please note that eliminating foods from the fridge menu is not possible without elimating them from the room service menu (BonVoyage) as well. Moreover, it's not possible to eliminate custom foods from the stove menus (which came with OfB).

@NekoGirl: In fact, these stoves cannot be used with a restaurant podium. For the game code, food stands are not the same as Nightlife stoves. They can be used in OfB businesses, but only as food stands.
I'm currently working on a way to alter the normal restaurant menus, too. But so far, there are obstacles I have not yet overcome (and maybe never will).

After a year off, I'm just getting back in the swing of Sims - and I come back to find this!

These look amazing! Can they be used in regular neighborhoods, or only BV-type vacation spots? I know when I tried the BV ones in a regular lot, the game crashed when I tried to load that lot. Would love to be able to place some stands in regular neighborhood.

Also, does any of this replace game defaults?

I finally had a place to install all these, and I'm having a bit of a problem with them. The counters are invisible! (See attachment.) It also looks as though I didn't get the uniform replacements - I can do that now, anyhow.

Any advice would be welcome.

I think the counters were made invisible on purpose so that you can decorate the way you want it. You will need to use the "moveObjects on" cheat to place the counters. The stools are so that you know where to place the counters. Once the counters are placed delete the stools and put in place the ones that you want to use.

" Use "move_objects on" to delete the automatically generated barstools and replace them with others. You can now decorate as you wish (see attached screenshots). If you place two island counters on top of each other, you can decorate the counter tops without usings OMSPs and your Sims will still be able to eat on the slot." (creators instructions)

Sorry for replying so late, but thanks for all of your feedback. I have went on to play TS4, but I still miss TS2 and creating for that game was awesome (creating fot TS4 ist not, there are tons of limitations).

You can use these in regular neighborhoods, all my preview pictures were made on normal Community Lots.

Like Peni Griffin, I did not get the uniform replacements. Perhaps that is another download? Oh, well. This dude works fine with the lot I made. (EDIT ... It would have helped if I DOWNLOADED the default replacement uniforms! Oops! All good now! )

I tried the Mixed Appetizers download, followed the instructions, held my breath, and .... it worked wonderfully! Perfect for my bar. (I was thinking of a tapas-esque/small plate eating area). I think I'm eyeing another one or two of these for future use. (Yup ... downloaded the cake and the fish ones already.) Thank you!
