I'm sorry but this mod was created to work together to the changes of time (days, months, seasons, years) and the Seasons EP is necessary. I can't make a version that requires only The Sims 2.

Is there anyway to adjust this so that 1 sim day = 1 year in RL life? It's what I set in my game so it looks something like this:

Babies, age 0, 1 day
Toddlers, ages 1-4, 4 days
Children, ages 5-11, 7 days
Teens, ages 12-17, 6 days
YA, ages 18-21
Adults, ages 18-61
Elders, ages 62-92, 10-30 days (The possibility of getting bonus days for high aspiration is removed.)

So I use this chart to keep track of their ages:

Babies

1 = 0

Toddlers

4 = 1
3 = 2
2 = 3
1 = 4

Children

7 = 5
6 = 6
5 = 7
4 = 8
3 = 9
2 = 10
1 = 11

Teens

6 = 12
5 = 13
4 = 14
3 = 15
2 = 16
1 = 17

Young Adult

8-7 = 18
6-5 = 19
4-3 = 20
2-1 = 21

And so on for adults and elders.

My pregnancy takes three quarter of a sim day to reflects real pregnancies and my seasons run 3 days per season for a total of 12 days.

I really like the idea of this mod since but i don't think i'll be to survive 1 year of life = 365 days.

Does this conflict with other lifespan mods? Can I use my mod 1 month is one sim day and use yours together so when I go back to the standard lifespan for a selected sim (you say that's possible) that the standard is not default but my lifespan?
(I hope it's clear what I want to say)

But then..you don't really need Real Life mod at all...this is almost what the game offers you, by default.
Just age your sims when you so desire, after you've been playing them a said age long enough.

This mod doesn't conflict with other lifespan mods because it doesn't modify global constants of the game; the only BCON modified is the one concerning the Seasons.
You can set and unset the Real Life all the times you want; the only remark is that when you set the real life and after some time you unset it, the unset option takes back the days of the sim to the standard days of the game and not to the days set in a lifespan mod you have. But when your sim passes into a new phase of life (for example, from teen to adult), he/she will receive the days set in the lifespan mod you have, until you don't set again the Real Life.
You understand what I mean?

But there could be a solution to make sure to set the days of the sims to the ones indicated in a lifespan mod, when you unset the Real Life.
An example:
• you set the real life for an adult sim called Danny
• after some time you decide to unset the real life for Danny
• so you click on the Unset option and a window appears asking you what option of days setting you want to choose
• for example, if you choose 1, the days of Danny will be set to the standard days of the game (for an adult sim); if you choose 2, the days of Danny will be set to the days of a particular lifespan mod (one of yours, for example); and so on.

This is only a hypothetical solution.

I think that would be great if that were possible. That's going close to having more than one lifespan mod in the game, isn't it?
But setting a simage is already easy to do so when I unset the real life I set an adult sim back to teen and then let him grow up to have the values of my lifespan.
But your (hypothetical) solution would a lot better and not so farfetchd.

...
Yeah, this would be the idea.
The problem is that I am in a period quite complicated with a lot of problems and thoughts, and I really don't have time to look at this modification. I don't run The Sims 2 from a lot of time and occasionally I open Mod The Sims to see if there are news.
When I have seen new messages in this thread, I decided to log-in and to answer, because as we say in Italy:
Request is lawful, answering is courtesy.

Oh, I understand you're busy. I have that too. There periods I have a lot of time to create and other moments I nearly have the time to check my messages let alone answer them (ironicly that's the moment I receive the most requests )
So don't worry about when you're going to update the real life mod. I'm already very glad you can do that.

I love this mod! I use it for three families in my game in particular. I also use it with the mod (up thread) that increases pregnancy to 9 months (252 days). I used to have the period hack installed but with the real life mod they had a period every week! I wish there was a way to edit the frequency of the periods so they only have it once a month!

Will be very useful, since I was spoiled with The Sims 3's aging options. Thanks!

I also used to have the period mod but have forgotten about it since i really started creating. Maybe I can find out whether it's possible to have it once a month.

Oh my goodness! That would be great if possible. I'd do it myself if I knew how. I tried but I'm not good with those things.

I took a look at it and I found out that the period mod is not as simple as I thought. It's full of bhav and I can't seem to find my way in it.
So I'm sorry, but I can't help with this.

thank you for this mod! been using it for years now! i do wonder if this mod works for longer lifespans even if you don't set the seasons correctly? i'm not looking to use the set month/day options, just have sims with long life spans.
