Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Bleakburn Hall is an imposing Victorian Gothic mansion with an ornate and stylish facade. The house is surrounded by dark shaded garden with a small pond, gazebo, vegetable patch and gardening shed (nectary downstairs). The main building has three floors with four bedrooms and three full baths. Rooms are spacious and lavishly decorated. There are enough beds for nine adults/children and a baby/toddler (plus cats!).

Ground floor: Kitchen, dining room, parlour, study, hallway, laundry and bathroom.
Second floor: Main bedroom with an atelier, guest room, nursery, parlour, hallway, closet and two bathrooms.
Attic: Servant's room and alchemy lab.

Lot size: 40 x 40
Price furnished: § 257 258
Price unfurnished: § 118 606

This is a remake of a lot I first built about a year ago (found at Maty). This time I tried to build and decorate without too much store stuff and here is the result. The lot is specifically built for Midnight Hollow and the gold edition is required for the house to appear as in the pictures. I have all expansion packs installed and there are a few Island Paradise decorative items on the lot as well.

List of CC and store stuff:

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Wow! It looks wonderful and dark. The floor plan looks historically accurate too, which is a big thumbs up in my book. Well Done!

Really? Well what you've done here is one of the best example I've seen here at MTS. I hope we get to see more works of this quality in the future

Thanks for this beautiful estate, I only have one little issue: when checking the file with Custard, it reports that it's corrupt: "Contains another DBPF" (it's highlighted in red). Why is that ?

Sounds ominous!! I have no idea what that means. I mean I didn't get any notification from moderators while uploading. And I packed the lot "normally" with WinRar...

I agree, unfortunately.
I'll bet with your considerable talent you could make a base game (or at least store free) version that's just as good! Pretty please?

I understand the requirements are quite a lot. But unfortunately I don't have that much extra time to spend with the Sims 3 ,so I only build for my own amusement. I find building with only base game to be very tedious since I've already used those objects dozens of times.

Anyway, most of the store stuff I used is purely decorative. The Gothique Window is essential but everything else can most likely be ignored and the lot will still function. It would just look a bit weird because the game replaces objects with base game stuff.

I have been trying to install this house for the past two days but for some reason it keeps getting uninstalled when I start the game. I'm running windows 7. Is there anyway to fix this?

The house looks amazing btw, I can't wait to use it.

Same here

EDIT: I found a working solution. I converted it to a .package and installed it into the Library folder. Works just fine!

Hi,

a wonderful house. Sadly, it does not appear in my game even though I have the gold version of Midnight Hollow. According to my Launcher the house is installed. I have every addon up to Seasons and my game has the newest update.
