Inspired by one of the skyscrapers in the Facebook game of CityVille (which I've never played, actually- the buildings just work well when I build them for my Sims!), this building makes a good addition to the fringes of a Downtown packed with high-rise apartment complexes and skyscrapers.
The CityVille building that I based the exterior on is called Rocky Road Ice Cream, but I opted for a more believable name for my building, so King Street Condos was born.
At only nine stories (plus an inaccessible roof) this is one of the shorter apartment towers I've designed, but its presence in a downtown gives you more options for Sims in the middle of a career who can't afford a penthouse or a skyrise, but who still want to make a home for themselves in the hustle and bustle of Downtown. Apartments in this building go from a base price of $1687 per week all the way up to $4001 per week for the three-story penthouse.
One word of caution- Since this building is only on a 2X3 lot, it may seem smaller than it is, but as with any skyscraper, the many floors rising up and up towards the clouds means that, on a slower computer, this lot will probably have more lag than you might expect. Still absolutely playable (my computer is nowhere close to the fastest model out there, and it works fine for me), just be forewarned.
