About

ATTN: New mod has been released that makes bills more realistic rather than fixing them on one value. It can be found here .

In the official Sims 4 forum, and in MTS' forum, I've seen many people complaining about the enormous bills that come up weekly. Some have reported bills valued at over 20k simoleons. The reason for this is because of the game's new bracket taxing system.

This mod will eliminate all of that and modify bills.py to return only 100 as its value when get_bill_amount is called. Translated into normal-speak, that means you get to pay only 100 simoleons! You'll live like a king in the Cayman Islands with all of your expatriated accounts and no taxes to pay!

Caution! Please understand that this mod could have collision issues with other mods that make changes to bills. If you experience a crash, try unloading the one you don't want to use anymore and keep the more awesome mod, whichever one it may be.

Installation

Simply grab the zip file provided and plop it into your mods (Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods) folder. You do not need to extract it.

For this mod to work, you'll need to enable scripting mods from your options menu. Navigate to Game Options > Other > Script mods. This procedure will allow you to use any mods that are made with Python scripts as opposed to .package files.

Although he allowed me to use his injector module in my mod without giving him any credit, I will still thank scripthoge for injector.pyo.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Hey, does this mod still work? I realise its ages since this mod has been posted and all but does it still work? If not is there any more recent mods to bring bills down? I have a family of 4 in sims and the house is small and they are getting billed 26,000 a week and they really cant afford that, the house is insainely small and they dont even have lights or a tv or computer so I dont understand how but its impossible for the family to pay because 2 are children and the parents only earn 10,000 between them a week. HELP!!

I'd recommend MC Command Center for lower bills.

This mod was making it so my sims wouldn't age. I would throw a birthday party and make them blow out the candles, they would do the twirl and then nothing. They would continue to randomly twirl with the sparkles throughout the day, but no aging. When troubleshooting I found out it was this mod that was causing the aging issue. I couldn't find anything on the internet about this issue, so I thought I would post here just in case anyone else was having this problem. I don't know if the mod needs to be updated or not, it could just be me. I hope this isn't too much of a bother.
