This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
19 MAR 2007 - UPDATED to Freetime
Now the TV allows to "Watch Movie", generating enthusiasm.
On the other hand, the "Tinker" interaction is still disabled, because the animation would be too bad and misaligned.
Also, for compatibility with the older games, the "Watch" interactions has been disabled for pets.
Lastly, that annoying tooltip that showed up whenever the mouse pointed to the TV has been removed.

29 MAR 2005: Fixed a BUG that prevented the sims to watch TV while lying on the bed.
-------------------------------

After long years of hard research, finally Trottco engineers managed to *detach* the TV set from the stand! And they made it smaller, too!
Now you can place your portable 27" or 14" TV on every dining/cooffee/end table, or even on a counter!

I really couldn't "stand that stand" any more, and so I managed to create a stand-alone TV, placeable everywhere.

Credits for the 27" TV mesh, as you might guess, goes to Maxis .
I've removed the stand and made a second, smaller version.

Each version of the TV has its own GUID, and I managed to keep the outdoor shadows, too (you may have noticed that usually cloned objects lose their outdoor shadows...).

As for the colours, both the versions use the original Trottco 27" textures, so any recolour you make/download for the original TV will be available for these portable versions, too.

As you can see from the picture, Don Lothario doesn't seem to appreciate my work too much...
I hope that you will appreciate it much more then him! :D

Just to let you know Numenor, that your TV needs to be updated with the new coding in FreeTime. The tinkering is missing and the option to watch movies as well.

I felt I needed to point it out.

This item was posted THREE YEARS ago and here you are updating it for free time. What type of person has this sort of dedication to a community? On a site that is free and without substantial personal gain? I am constantly amazed at the folks on this site.

That`s nothing, suzannah; I`ve seen where he has gone and updated someone else`s upload, when the uploader had been absent so long that the site declared the upload unsupported!

Numenor, you are still the only creator in my Favorite Creators list, though your work is not the only work in my Favorite Uploads list.

Sometimes I find archaeology quite amusing LOL!
Believe it or not, most of my creations, and also the updates (including the ones for absent uploaders) are done to my own benefit, because e.g. I can't use something in my game because I have all the EPs. But it's true also that I feel a sort of "responsibility" for my own creations: if they break the users' games because they became outdated, I just can't leave them unfixed -
Thanks a lot for noticing and expressing your appreciation for this, too

I love your pic, that's too funny!
Thank you for your portable TVs, they'll be extremely useful! And gosh is that small one so cute *melts* I have a run down barber shop that screamed for that one. Damn you, you'll be the cause of my sims lots cluttered with TVs everywhere!

Erm i'm sorry to bother you again with the same question as for your other wonderful tv: are the 'noise waves' working with these two? I guess they should be up-to-date since they're pure clones from your AL version game; just want to be sure. (if they are, you must be the only item creator that updated all his stuff for AL and you deserve a huge trunk of homemade cookies )

I found a bug, sadly. I don't know if it's just my computer but whenever i place the t.v, I can't seem to pick it up and delete it.

Long-time simmer, I own every game and expansion pack.
Huge fan of legacy challenges!
Name changed from "izzikat".
