Thank you, gummilutt! Your fix is very useful for me.

But does it work with Inteen? Since I have both in my downloads, your fix stopped working. Sims who have Physiology learned keep on earning ALL the skills extremely fast.

I dunno if it messes with InTeen or something else, bu HDCU shows no conflict.

Yes, it's compatible with inteen. There is no code in common between the two, so they can't conflict. My mod only contains a BHAV, so if for some weird reason there was a conflict with Inteen it would show up in HCDU. And finally, I play with inteen and the fix works in my game

I'm guessing you have some other mod conflicting I would back up your hood, then do a 50/50 with mods. If you find it, let me know so I can investigate.

It's not a stupid question If you have not downloaded any custom content before, you need to create a folder called "Downloads", in your Sims user files. These are located in your documents. Normally it's C:\-whatever path your pc has-\Documents\Ea Games\The Sims 2\Downloads. If you are using UC it may look a little different, I'm not sure as I use the disc version.

Once you have your downloads folder, you simply put this in there. I suggest you create a folder called mods or hacks, or something like that, and keep it there. That way you know where it is, and if ever a conflict arises, it'll be easy to find

Thank you. That bug really annoyed me, but I didn't want to install alfixes. Now my romance sims will be able to learn physiology again!

I have had this mod in my game ever since you posted it, and it's been a huge help and greatly, greatly appreciated; thank you! However, of late I've felt emboldened (mostly because of how easy you made it to edit jogging and hiking motive changes), and I'd like to tweak this: I want no--zero, zip, zilch--increase in the speed my sims gain body skill at all. Just studying anatomy and physiology doesn't help; I know this! I spent two years taking college level classes in A&P (along with organic chem, nutrition, and several other related subjects) and the only improvement that made to my body skill and overall fitness was the result of lugging all those books! The single change that makes sense to me (and I realise it's far outside the scope of this mod) would be a greater tendency to work out autonomously; I'd be very happy if studying physiology did nothing move than give my sims the aspiration points and the positive memory. Is there a way to do that?

@gummilutt I've been using this mod for a while and it has no conflicts but I've just come across the fairly specific scenario of a sim who has learned the physiology skill going on holiday and swimming in the ocean...and he rapidly gained 3 skill points one almost immediately after the other, like the original physiology bug. Could ocean swimming somehow still be bugged or not covered by this mod?

This mod is simply the fix EA made in AL patch re-applied since they re-broke it in MG, so whether or not ocean swimming remains bugged would depend on if EA fixed it in their patch or not. So yes, it's entirely possible that ocean swimming is not covered by the mod. I would guess that it is as my Sims swim in the ocean a lot and I am pretty sure at least a few of them has maxed physiology, but that's just a guess.
