Myheavengunner, on the bidets I've seen in person, they actually spray upward (the first time I saw one, my little brother said "What's this?" and turned on the faucet and immediately got hit in the face with water-- and then couldn't get it to turn off). Basically you squat over or sit on it while facing it and adjust the water to a pleasant temperature to wash yourself off. It gets you cleaner than toilet paper and is very common in Europe and some places in Asia. It's kind of funny because the US is the largest producer of bidets but not many people in the US actually buy them.

The faucet of the style shown on this bidet is usually aimed a little bit more forward-- see http://www.catchpoleandrye.com/_ass...-bidet-side.jpg as an example of an image of how the faucet looks. But it is isn't easily noticed in-game and I care more about the function.
