Blue Glass -Railing

Took a look at this file for someone who was trying to figure out how to update it for personal use themselves, expected it to require meshing, and instead discovered I could do a reasonably effective fix by changing a single digit in a single field in a single resource in the package file.

(For anyone this means something to, some looking at EA railings let me figure out that ModelKey5 in the Railing resource is the pointer for the flat piece that's used on landings and at the top of stairs. That particular instance number in this package had Model LODs for both a slanted piece and a flat piece. The Model Resource Key for the high detail LOD was set to use the slanted piece. I changed a single digit in the Group field so that it pointed to the flat piece instead. The medium level was already set for the flat piece.)

Since maloverci hasn't logged in here or at the S4S forum for about a year and a half, has no TOU/policy listed, and doesn't have any other easily findable presence online under that username, and since MTS has something of a tradition of people posting similar tiny 'make it work with the patch' edits to files from long-inactive creators in the comments, I figured I'd share.

CAVEAT: Due to the fact that this railing is mostly just the base game Sleek Closed Rail with the posts deleted (a super clever idea that still works pretty darn well, and was probably near-flawless before configurable stairs), there are two visual issues. (See also attached screenshot which I drew on.)
  • The first is that the glass does not meet perfectly at corners; there is a small but visible gap. The EA mesh had a post there.
  • The second is that there are some spots around landings where you might expect a railing like this to have an unbroken slope down, but instead the top of the railing cuts straight down, then straight across (see screenshot). The EA mesh has them too, but the fact that there's a post there makes it obvious that it's two different pieces of glass, and interrupts the flow of the slope anyway.
Also, maloverci, if you'd prefer I take this down, just say the word, but I'd hope you won't ask me to unless you're going to update the regular download. (If you want to replace the regular download with my file, that's also fine. I really only changed a single 0 to a 1; everything else was detective work.)

Thank you so much for updating these! I've used his custom fences for a few years but I just found out today that he made railings as well. So lucky that I happened to check the comments to make sure they're still functional after recent game patches and found your post! Have a great holiday!
