Excellent! I haven't had a meteor strike since 2011 and I like the randomness, so I didn't want to trigger it. This is perfect!

Thank you so much, I have been longing for something like this, updated. I like disasters in Sims, but sadly I don't have the chance for them more often than once in a lifetime, so I can't wait to try this.

Love the meteor effect in Sims 3, I am stuck on 1.55 so I assume this mod won't work for my game. Still great job!

Can I just use the increased chance mod without installing the siren? Also, can you tell me what are the EA default values for meteor strikes?

I'm going to give this a try! I'm not looking to have a lot of meteors, but I also haven't had once in years. I kind of suspect that I have a mod that is canceling them out, but I'll try this and see what happens. .

I'm sorry, but it's not very clear in the description. Is it this part: "...is always 10% higher."? I thought that meant using a telescope was always 10% higher than when they are just outside. I was hoping for the exact EA values rather than a percentage. If you're not sure, that's fine. If I am missing something, please point me in the right direction.

ETA: Okay, I think I understand. The first values are the defaults? I'm a dunce; I thought each value was a range (like .1% to 1% chance...etc.) I think the commas threw me off.

Anyway, thanks for this mod. I was recently complaining about how rare the meteor strikes were. I had started using the Deathnote mod to make them happen at will.

4 sim days with 5 of 7 sims using telescopes outside and still nothing. what is everyone else's wait time?

i put it in documents/electronic arts/sims 3/mods/packages is that correct or is this my bad?

**UPDATE: FIXED. I personally had to remove all cc and put it back in. Works like a charm now. THANKS SOO MUCH!!

That first paragraph in your description cracked me up. Thank you. Will definitely use this in my zombie-apocalyptic world.

Thanks so much for this! I'm working on a postapocalyptic Let's Play, and these items will come in very handy.

I loved this mod, but it always hit my house. I guess no one else in town uses a telescope? Well, once it hit the police station, but it killed my sim's best friend, so I didn't save the game. When I went back into the game, the meteor didn't reoccur. I will definitely use this mod again for a different game, but I will be sure to place lots of telescopes around town.

I had seven of these strikes in a row in about a hour's time. It killed my sim and nearly hit a foal that had just been born.

Meteors were a huge turn-off for me, for the longest time I avoided Ambitions solely because I felt super paranoid about meteors and felt they were restricting the time I could spend outside (yes, I know the default odds are super low but I'm a huge worrywart so even a tiny chance was enough to scare the daylights out of me) and I kept worrying about my cats as they love to play outside all the time. But this mod convinced me to finally get Ambitions, thank you so much for making it! :)
