Nov 27, 2018: Version 3 of the mod!
Big news, everybody! Not only the mod is updated to 1.47.49 patch, but there's a lot of new features.
But before we start, a quick reminder: put a zip file in your Mods folder (or subfolder within Mods). No need to unzip it. That's the way it has always been, and if you have a problem with the mod, this may be a solution.

So, what's new today?
  • Introducing new cheat: wwrelprint {a|g|l|n|p} {r} {log} – Worldwide Relationship Print. It displays all Sim's relationships in the current game, sorts them by romantic or friendship value and has a handful of useful filters (hide all ghosts, all null relationships etc). See Overview and Usage below for the full instruction.
  • Introducing new feature: log files. All three cheats (relprint, hhrelprint and wwrelprint) now have an option to write their output not only in the console window, but also in a separate txt file. Simply put 'log' at the end of the cheat, e.g. relprint John Doe Fanny Mae f log or hhrelprint r log.
  • Each cheat now shows in-game time, so it's easier to gather and analyze data about Sims relationships.
  • The script has been compiled with Python 3.7.0 and is good to work with 1.47.49 (Get Famous patch) and higher versions of the game.
  • Some visual changes, fixed minor bugs, more useful error messages.
  • AOM’s Selectable Pets Mod is still fully supported.
Thanks to scumbumbo, MissSassy, lemememeringue and to everyone who likes and uses my mod. I am very grateful.
Feel free to PM me about any bugs, I'll try my best to help.

Ever had the same problem as poor Rose here?
Then maybe I have a solution for you!

Problem Description

Overview and Usage
RelPrint Console Cheats is a mod which allows you to get Sims relationships represented in exact numbers. It adds three console cheats to the game: Relationship Print (relprint), Household Relationship Print (hhrelprint) and Worldwide Relationship Print (wwrelprint). Using these, you can print out the needed information in the console (or, since version 3, to a file).
  • relprint {Sim1} {Sim2} {f|r|b} {log}
Use Relationship Print cheat if you want to know relationship score between two Sims in the world.

In the cheat console, type relprint, names of two Sims in question and the toggle. The toggle specifies which type of relationship you want to display: type f for (F)riendship, r for (R)omance, or b for (B)oth.

Example: relprint Bill Potts Heather Pilot r

Here's what you should get:

If you want to save that valuable information to a file, well, now you can. Just use the second toggle: put log at the end of the cheat. It will tell you where the log file is located.
  • hhrelprint {r} {log}
Household Relationship Print cheat is a bit more specific. It displays relationship scores between the active (currently selected) Sim and every other Sim in their active (currently played) household, sorted by the value of that score.

By default, Sims are sorted by their Friendship score towards the active Sim. If you want to sort them by the Romance score, type hhrelprint r instead of hhrelprint. If you want to save this report to a file, type log at the end: hhrelprint log or hhrelprint r log
  • wwrelprint {a|g|l|n|p} {r} {log}
Worldwide Relationship Print cheat doesn't stop at a household. It studies all existing relationships of a Sim. Besides usual sorting by Friendship or Romance (toggle r) and logging to a file (toggle log), this command has specific filters. Sims these days have a lot of 'null' acquaintances, with Fri and Rom scores both equal to zero. Also, ghosts never go away from the Relationships panel, which is a bit annoying.
That's where those filters come in handy:
  • [All Non-Null] Default filter. To use it, type wwrelprint or wwrelprint a. Shows all Sims (except for 'nulls', whose friendly and romantic relationships with your Sim are both zero).
  • [No Ghosts] Hides ghosts from the rels list. To use it, type wwrelprint g
  • [No Pets] Hides pets from the rels list. To use it, type wwrelprint p
  • [Living Humans] 'Humans' here are referring to non-pets. Aliens and vampires still show up in the list, but cats, dogs, ghosts and nulls don't. To use it, type wwrelprint l
  • [All + Null] Shows eveyone, including the null relationships. To use it, type wwrelprint n

Each of those can be combined with r toggle (if you want to sort relationships by Romance first) and/or with log toggle (to write the result to file). So, for example, if you want to see living and dead Sims but no pets, sorted by romantic relationships and written down to a file, type wwrelprint p r log

Sometimes a filter can be too strict and bring no results. Sometimes it can be too overwhelming and break the console output limit (about 1,000 characters). In the former case, the mod will advise you to choose another filter; in the latter, it will automatically write data in the log file. The mod is able to recognize and handle these errors, as well as several more.

Known Issues
Relationship Print cheat:
  • If Sim's name has a space in it (e.g. Carole Ann Ford), use double quotation marks around it: relprint "Carole Ann" Ford Bill Hartnell f
  • If Sim lacks a surname (most Brindleton Bay pets do), address them like this: Josie "", "Mayor Whiskers" ""
  • If there are more than one Sim with the exact same name in the world, information regarding only one of them will be displayed. Be careful!
HouseHold, WorldWide Relationship Print cheat:
  • Execute this cheat when the currently selected Sim is on the currently loaded lot. Otherwise it may not work. If the Sim is away to another lot, click on his icon and select "Switch control to..." (Work and school are usually fine though).
  • The Sims 4 uses non-fixed width font in the console, which means the columns of numbers would inevitably be a bit wonky-looking. Sorry about that. The log file version should look comparably neat.

Technical Info
  • This is a script mod. To use it, you have to enable script mods in your game first: Game Options > Other > Script Mods: (toggle on). After that, place the downloaded zip file (without unzipping it!) in your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods directory.
  • The mod was built and tested with game version 1.10.57.1020. It's expected, however, to work with any pre-Cats & Dogs version of the game.
Version 2 was built and tested with game version 1.36.104.1020, supposed to work with any version of the game from Cats & Dogs until Get Famous.
Version 3 was built and tested with game version 1.47.49.1020, supposed to work with any post-Get Famous version of the game.
  • The mod doesn't override or affect any game resources, so it probably shouldn't conflict with other mods. It does write its own log files now, but other than that it shouldn't affect any game files or saves, so it's unlikely to corrupt your game. Still, use cautiously and contact me if you encounter anything out of ordinary.
  • The cheats don't require "enabling testing cheats" first.
  • For those interested, source code for the script is included in zip archive.

* Note: The Doctor and Rose Tyler are not included.

I really appreciate this mod! Is there any chance you'd be able to make a similar table output for everyone a Sim knows? Or another cheat to sort according to friendly or romantic score?

Think I might just be doing something silly, but nothing seems to happen when I type 'hhrelprint' into the cheat bar and I was just wondering if there was any advice on this. I've been trying to use it on a household which has 16 sims so thought this might be the problem, but it's also not working on a normal household of 8. /:

I can still do 'relprint (name 1) (name 2)' and work out relationships manually - I just can't get that lovely looking list which is in the promo pictures. Aside from that, I absolutely adore this mod and it's allowing me to finally host reality competitions (big brother, survivor, the duel) on Sims 4. Very grateful.

2.0 currently works with Get Famous. However, I plan to recompile it with Python 3.7.0 in the nearest future. actually, scratch that, you know what? a massive overhaul, new functions, I'm going there.

upd. 3.0 is up for grabs.

Hi! I never was able to test this mod, I was wondering if you were planning to update it for the strangerville patch
Or maybe it works and I'm doing something wrong? Because I noticed the files were .py files
thank you in advance

Hi. I downloaded the mod yesterday for the very first time, but it doesn't seem to wrok for me. The only command that produces any output at all is relprint, but it always shows friendship value 15, romantic value 0 - I tried it even with enemies, but the result is always this. No logs are created either.
I believe my current game version is 1.51.77.1020 (update from April 19th). Is there any fix (even in the working)?
Btw I appreciate your effort put into this mod - that forum post with the edit update that you made the desired mod yourself really cracked me up. I'm sure I'm gonna really enjoy the mod once it works correctly for me.

Why does my mod only works "relprint (Sim1) (Sim2) f" and not "hhrelprint"? ;_; I tried every version and all of em is working the same way.

@todoabout Any way you could update this mod again? I'm playing the Bachelor challenge and could really use this. It's way too hard to determine which relationship is the lowest right now from the bars alone when they're all so similar.

And so I'm back from outer space.

I've just tried the current version (that is, 3.0) of the mod with TS4 ver.1.60.54 (Tiny Living Stuff). And it works for me, every command outputs as intended. As far as I can say, this mod works with the current version of the game, as a general rule.

Of course, there's always a possibility that I just can't recreate your error in my game. So any additional information would be appreciated.

If my mod doesn't work for you at all, or just doesn't work as intended, write me a pm (or a comment right here, but pm is preferred option). Remember, you have to put .zip in your Mods folder WITHOUT UNZIPPING IT.

Here's a checklist for you:
* check if you put .zip (NOT .py, NOT .pyc) in your Mods folder
* check if your Mods folder has Resource.cfg in it
* go to Game Options > Other. "Enable Custom Content and Mods" and "Script Mods Allowed" must both be ticked. Press "View Custom Content" > "Show at Startup" should be ticked (tick it if it isn't). Apply Changes and fully restart the game. After restarting, TS4 should show you a pop-up about my mod (MTS_todoabout_1810424_relprint_console_v3.zip). Check if it does so.
* check if you're using relprint in Live mode. You should first load up the game, load up your save file (or press the triangle play button to load the last played one), select a household to play, load up the household. Only when you have an active Sim selected, there's a reason to use the mod; at any point before that you probably won't get any results or get an error message.
* check if you're using relprint in the console. Press Shift-Ctrl-C to open console input. You type commands in there, otherwise the game won't recognize anything.
* check if you're spelling relprint/hhrelprint/wwrelprint correctly and using the appropriate toggles. (Consult the download page of the mod for further details on that).
* do you get any output from the mod, or no output at all? there are some undocumented but pretty thorough error messages, the mod will try its best to help you. Screenshot any output you get from the mod and send it to me.
* if at any point during this checklist your problem is solved, pm me anyway to tell that everything is okay now. if nothing works, describe the situation according to the checklist.

Good luck, and thank you for using the mod.

It doesn't work
I tried everything and it still doesn't work. I only can use "relprint SIM 1 SIM 2 f/r", but I really need to use hhrelprint mode, and this one doesn't work.

It doesn´t work for me. Checked everything you said, but there seems to be another problem. If I type in "hhrelprint" nothing happens. If I type in e.g., "relprint Marina Duyaz Florian Offermann b", the output is that both relationship scores are zero, which does not seem to be the case according to the green bars at the relationship panel.

Could it be a problem, that all relationships in my household are acquaintanceships right now?

I really appreciate your help!
