Functional Tea Pot

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
This is a tea pot that magically also boils water and beeps when it's done (in other words, a tea brewing machine in the shape of a teapot).

Update 2016-03-05: Polish translation added. Thanks Piesek64!
Update 2016-02-11: Fixed issue with one of the material variants throwing script errors when recolouring. Thanks FH|RA for the heads-up!

Works exactly like the tea machine. The animations and effects are unchanged; they fit the pot mostly but not 100% -- see the in-game screenshots: when they start brewing tea, sims throw the tea leaves somewhere in the air next to the pot (where the machine would be), and at the end when they pour tea into a cup, the tea looks like it’s being poured out of the lid rather than the spout (which is actually not too unlikely, given the way they are holding the pot >.<). The latter could be solved by making the pot less wide, but then it starts to look like a coffee pot, so I left it like this.

The mesh is a low-polyfied and edited version of the Utah teapot (specifically this incarnation); mapping and textures are by myself.

15 colour variants, 65§, found in Appliances.

The “Tea” option on the thumbnail screenshot is due to this mod.

Yeah, too bad that people often don't think to mention those things :/

I wish I could have caught it sooner! I've had it in my game at least a couple months, but yesterday was the first time I used it. I guess my sims don't drink tea very often!

Yeah, you'd only see it when you use the green variant first and *then* recolour it (or vice versa) .. my own sims have red and blue teapots, so I never stumbled over it either. =)

I couldn't find it under appliances so I decided to re download it. The file size was different on my second download and the file date was earlier. I love this idea so I hope I will be able to find it now. Thanks.

Thank you for making this tea pot. It looks so much better than the machine, which looked really unattractive. I did a search online, hoping there was a nicer looking alternative.

Thank you. Honestly, that stupid tea machine looks ridiculous when a teapot would match my decor much better.

Hello, is this working with Seasons? They added a new tea type (Bee tea) so I'm not sure.

Works with Seasons and July 31st Patch 1.45.62.1020. Bee Tea shows up as well. I was doing the Decades challenge and wanted a teapot that didn't look so 'modern'. This was perfect!

Any idea if this is still working with the Island Living expansion? It will be perfect for off the grid living.

Thank you so much for this! This is absolutely perfect for a tea house I'm making at a Japanese Gardens type lot. Exactly what I was looking for!
