I hate to tell you, but it doesn't appear to be working for the ultimate edition

Must be a bug. I have the ultimate collection and it works perfectly fine for me.

It appears that the neighborhood selection splash works, just not the main loading screen

Cool. I have an UC one right now, but I think I'll put this one in. I like the way it looks.
ETA: Just wanted to let everyone know that it does work fine with UC. Possibly the other posters had a problem because they put it in the wrong place? I only knew where to put it because there were clear instructions with the other one I had. You need to go into Program Files/Origin Games/The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection/Double Deluxe/Base/TSData/Res/UI. Place the downloaded splash screen file in there.

That was the problem! Thank you! I thought you put it in Downloads like everywhere else, but apparently not. :P

Mine didn't work until I put it here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Apartment Life\TSData\Res\UI

Any chance of making a version that changes the EP/SP loading text strings to that of the base game?

For The Sims 2 Starter Pack users, the installation path is the following:
C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 2 Starter Pack\Double Deluxe\Base\TSData\Res\UI

Thank you for this mod, I've always felt it was a bit off that the initial loading screen was "Fun with Pets" and then the splash screen says "Mansion and Garden Stuff" when I'm playing with every single pack.
