Updates to Scumbumbo's original mod are now provided and maintained by LittleMsSam at

This is an update to Scumbumbo's mod that adds a Creativity skill gain when Child Sims use the clay blob.
While the original still technically functions in the recent June patch, text is missing from the interaction menu and some other little code pieces need adding in.

Still functions with the Realm of Magic patch. No update needed.

Updated for the Island Living patch. Should now also correctly fulfill the "Play" Holiday Tradition.
Still works with Seasons.
Still functions with the 1.40 Jungle Adventure patch
Updated for the Cats and Dogs patch.

To create this file I have extracted the updated "ClayBlob_Mold" XML tuning from the game files and inserted the changes originally made by Scumbumbo from his mod. The file should now be compatible with version (on PC) of the game.
I have tested it in my own game and Child Sims correctly gain Creativity skill as intended and the correct menu text now shows.
Please delete Scumbumbo's original file before placing my updated version in your game.

As I am not the original creator of this mod, if any issues with its functionality do arise in the future, please be aware that I may not be able to provide further updates.
It will conflict with any other file that also alters the ClayBlob_Mold interaction tuning with instance 0000000000003367.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:
1. Download: Click the File tab to see the download link. Click the link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

3. Cut and paste the .package file(s) (if included, ts4script as well) into your Mods folder

Need more information?
  • Anyone can use both .rar and .zip files easily! On Windows, use WinRAR.
  • If you don't have a Mods folder, just make one.

Before anyone asks, yes, this mod needs to be updated for the Island Living patch. It broke and now causes Sims to jump reset when they try to use it. If I am able to update it then I will do so as soon as I can.

Well THAT certainly took more work than I was expecting to get it working again. Seems EA have made quite a few coding alterations this time around and so it wasn't as simple as it has been in the past where I just needed to paste in the skill code. This time it had to be rewritten to work. Phew. Glad that's over.
Redownload the new file and let it overwrite the old one. File names are the same.

Currently I am unable to check as I am tryng to track down a mod in my game that is removing all objects to the household inventory on game load. Feel free to give it a try and report your findings back to me though. It won't break your game if it has stopped working.

ETA: It's working fine.

Any chance you'd consider creating an updated version of the blickblock builds logic mod that hasn't worked in a while?
