Whereas EAxis gave us an 'upside down' house - without a complete bathroom and with a very small, pretty much unusable kitchen, I give you:

A modern 2 bedroom/2 bath with a carport and a nice fishing hole.
Remodeled and brought up to code for your simmies to enjoy

Please scroll through all the pictures to see everything this house has to offer - pay special attention to the last 3 pictures as they tell you where the original house is located and how to fix the flooding problem in the basement. Apparently Bluewater Village is in a major flood zone! What were those EAxian City Planners thinking about?!? Basements are a real problem in this area, unless you adjust the terrain ahead of time. The last 2 pictures explain how to raise the terrain for this lot and stop the flooded basements. If you put this lot in any other neighborhood - or on higher ground in Bluewater - you will not have flooding issues.

This is a clean copy if the lot - no Sim has set foot in it. The lot has been play-tested; everything is accessible and in good working order. Invisible smoke alarms are under the range hood in the kitchen and by the outdoor grill, the phone is on the wall by the stairs, and the burglar alarm is by the front door. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, trash compacter, stove, fridge, and nuker. Everything for a Sim's basic needs is included; and there is a lot of space on the lot to build out if needed. This lot is sparsely decorated - please personalize it to meet your sims whims.

Necessary, and NOT included - GO get them:
Corner Column by HL @ MTS2
Edger in Black by HL @ Sims2Artists
Expedit Bookshelf by HL @ MTS2
Backless Tub/Shower by HL @ MTS2
Value Counter Completer Set by NixedSims @ WordPress
Lack Black Expedit Bookshelf recolor by Michelle @ MTS2
Invisible Driveway by SophieDavid @ MTS2
Lifestyle Build Bundle - It's the second link in the top post - extracted from Lifestyle Stories by Argon @ MATY. I used wallpapers from this set.
You will also need: Anoeska's MMF AL Spiral Stairs in your game. Though they are not used on this lot. These are mirrored versions of the Maxis Spiral stairs, and they include a change which allows sims to walk under all the spiral stairs. I have had Anoeska's stairs in my game forEVER, and I didn't realize EAxis hadn't built the stairs that way to begin with! It just makes so much sense that one should be able to walk under the stairs - - I can't imagine it otherwise. Thank you ScaryRob, for pointing out another Maxis fail

Standard mods I use that are not necessary nor included - but were probably used whilst building/photo-ing/prepping this house for upload...
I use Moi's Roof Shader for brighter roofs
Maranatah's White Wall Top texture replacement
Moo's Turn On/Off Lights
Menaceman's Lunatech Lighting Fix
BeosBoxBoy's no-red-pause-mod
I also use FRAPs to take in-game pictures, and PhotoShop to clean/collage said pictures.
And, I highly recommend using gummilutt's Invisible Medicine Cabinet to add features to any mirror - as per her policy, it's not used or included in this lot.

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Speaking of unusable, I don't see how that spiral stair in the basement could possibly work. If you turned it 90 degrees clockwise it could work, and would also work better upstairs.

It's a continuous spiral... My tester didn't have any problems - I don't think? I made this a while ago, and it's been cluttering my desktop. I will test it again next time I'm in game.

Thank you for commenting

ETA: 2 photos proving the stairs work for @ScaryRob
Photo 1 - The first thing tester Gieke did when he entered the lot was go downstairs and do a victory dance in the tub. I thought that was appropriate!
Photo 2 - Then, I had him climb the spiral stairs all the way to the top...

Do you have some kind of stair-related mod installed? Or maybe something having to with doors?
Because my Simmies refuse to walk underneath spiral stairs. I doubt I'd be able to place a door that close to spiral stairs either.

Edit: I fired up my game to test this and I cannot get my Test Sim to walk beneath the stairs in the basement. He goes as far as the bottom of the stairs, but no further. My game won't let me place a door by the stairs where you have it, so I just left the walls off altogether, makes no difference. You can see this in the first picture.
I also had doubts about the arrangement of the basement bathroom toilet and sink, and those also don't work for my Test Sim. See the second picture.
So you must have some kind of mod installed that allows Sims to behave they way they do for you.

Edit #2: You called it a "continuous spiral". Is that something different from the normal Maxis spiral, a CC spiral stair maybe? Although that still wouldn't explain the bathroom issue.

(I don't know why the images uploaded twice and I don't see a way to edit them.)

I don't know... I have ZW_TPK_SprialStairs? And, AnoeskaB_MMF_AL_stairs-No_Fading? But I don't think those change how access under the stairs is programmed. I also have all of HL's stairs (which are not spiral) which allow access under the first step... I don't know. I'm curious too, and would like to know if this is a problem for anyone else?

ETA: Apparently, just having Anoeska's MMF AL Spiral Stairs in the game fixes this issue! Good to know I will include a link on the main page.

If you had actually tried my lot, it would've worked. I used a 'walk-through block' (included) which solves the sink/toilet problem.
Please TRY the lot. You'll see.

I downloaded the lot and I see that the "Walk-through Block" thing is a CC object, which I prefer not to download, not least of all because I have no idea what all it does. I also think you should include it in your CC list in the lot description, but I'm not a mod, so that's just my opinion.
Anyway, it's good that we got all this straightened out.
