Question Please from what I see in your pictures do that mean your Stairs Overlay will only work with the wallpaper shown ? Or will this work with any Maxis wallpapers not just the ones you are showing ?
Or will it even work with Customs wallpaper ?

The mesh will work for any kind of mouldings as long as there is a recolor made for it (as shown in the tutorial linked). I only share the recolors pictured. If you want other mouldings for the overlay, you should recolor it yourself or wait for someone to do it

By the way, if I had the skills, I would probably have made a mesh slaved to Catherine's that repeat the texture and distort it instead of this overlay, so no other recolors would have been necessary, but... Yeah I have a lot of ideas, but not the knowledge

If you place your window first and then use the moveobjects on cheat to place the overlay, yes !

Don't have the Sims 2 just life stories and sims 4 and of course the sims on googleplay and sims freeplay. -- (I like to build). Anyways, how would I install this for life stories?
Lastly, thanks for the mod.
