Please note for the Subhood version
So as per any populated Subhood, it is recommended that you run through hood checker after attaching to your other hood, as sometimes, very rarely the character ID's get thrown around. So it is always best to back up and double check with it!

Welcome to of Paraiso En Las Rocas!

Welcome to of Paraiso En Las Rocas! Paradise in the rocks' or 'Paradise on the rocks' depending on which local you ask is new, fun hood featuring your favourite base game premades, all in one hood and living that island lifestyle. With familiar faces and new faces, can they all get along to make the island live in harmony, or will they all end up creating such a toxic environment that the paradise part of the island's name will no longer apply?
The map features no townies, only the pre-mades from Pleasantview, Veronaville and Strangetown plus others, see below. The Sims are identical in the form of skills and interests and their faces from the originals, just now in castaway clothing!

---->If you have not already put the <----
----> boolProp dontMergeNHFlora false <----
---->cheat in your user start up file; I HIGHLY recommend you do so! <----

Show Story Pictures;

Memories do not contradict themselves now, added EP related memories and wants such as "had first WooHoo etc", memories have been added were they were missed before, such as offspring aging up, grandchildren's aging up etc, maxed skills, etc and some sims now have special? abilities.

I have created graveyards for the deceased Sims that had graves previously, but not all ancestors. There are several sims that have passed that now have complete memories, they are;
Glabe Curious aka Pirate Queen Glabe
Darleen Dreamer,
Skip Broke aka Golden Beard, Skip Broke,
Claudio and Olivia Monty,
Caliban and Cordelia Capp,
Lyla Grunt aka Lyla Vandermorgan,
Hero Monty.

Please note that these sims were created as fresh copies in a clean hood template.

I also went through and changed everyone's name to be in default language only, so if you are playing on a non-English version of the game, the names will not be randomised but will be the English versions. Let me know if this has not worked / any issues!

Scratch that, for some reason the names still randomise in some games, I will update shortly!

Lots;
Community lots ? 56
Residential lots ? 35

Detailed list of all lots included;

Families - 26 total
Sims included;

Families / Sims = 26 total Families
List of Sims age, names and genders of each household;

This map was run through Hood Checker numerous times, there are no issues.

Any problems let me know!

Enjoy your new hood!

Paraiso En Las Rocas - Requires The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection and CC
CUSTOM CONTENT

Compiled Castaway Build Buy Hood
Compiled Castaway Clothing

TO INSTALL AS A MAIN-HOOD / EMPTY HOOD
Download "ParaisoPopulatedMain" for the populated version, and ?ParaisoEmptyMainHood? for the empty version, extract which ever file you need then you should see the "AZTE" folder.
Place the "AZTE" folder straight into your Neighborhood folder in your Documents,
I have the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection so this is the file path for that.
C:\Users\USER\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Neighborhoods

TO INSTALL AS A SUB-HOOD
Download "ParaisoSubhood" and extract, you should see a "B444" folder.
Place the "B444" folder into your OFB Neighborhood Template folder,
I have the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection so this is the file path for that.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Best of Business\EP3\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate

To be able to see the whole map you will need a camera mod, I recommend using GunMods Camera mod to view the whole lot;

REQUIRED CUSTOM CONTENT
Compiled Castaway Build Buy Hood
Compiled Castaway Clothing
Not required but suggested;
Distant Terrain and Clouds

Myself and (mainly) Neytan have converted castaways clothes so that townies now wear these outfits. They also are enabled for pregnancies, so if you have mods that enable any pregnancy clothes then these are compatible.

Custom Content that is not required but I use;
Skin Replacements Maxis Match
Default Replacement Terrain Textures

Credits!
Of course, Neytan, thank you for enduring this whole process and doing the clothes! Thank you!
Gwenke for the Ocean Floor object (that is included in the compiled folders as I did some slight tweaks!)
A HUGE thank you to topp who originally compiled the clothes and objects etc, without this I would not have been able to tweak little things or compile them as much as they are!
The community who have fixed some of the castaway objects so they work in game, compiled within the link above also.
Big thanks to Mootilda for Lot Adjuster!
Thanks to EA and Maxis, for creating The Sims: Castaway Stories.
Thanks do Digi for separating the castaway outfits!
Thanks to crocobaura for her open underneath stairs! Game changer!

The items on this list are included in the bundle listed at the top of this page. There is no need to download content on this list. However, some objects had to have some tweaks and fixes, and the clothes, as mentioned have also been re-categorised.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Sims 2 University Nightlife Open for Business Pets Seasons Bon Voyage Free Time Apartment Life + 9 SPs

This is a multi-part download:

As this map is heavily required on the Castaway stories objects, decorations and clothes, you will need to download the compiled CC I have provided, if you only have the empty version then you will not need the castaway clothes.

Also I had to remove some of the roofs of the dreamer household as the sims can go upstairs but when they try to go downstars, they cannot

Amazing! I will have a look shortly! Thank you!

So the one time this happened to me, I put the CC in my game, loaded up, placed a few trees in a throwaway hood so I knew they worked and appeared in the hood, then closed the game and put the hood in. Then it worked, I think the game needs a boot to recognise the CC. Not sure why as I have only seen it happen once and I cant recreate it. haha!

My thinking exactly, the premades - but different, mix up the gameplay a bit!

Any ideas??

This is just a shopping district unfortunately so that is why you will not see them appear as vacation hoods! Sorry!

Here is a beautiful way to change it yourself if you would like, thank you @topp!

Without following the tutorial, the game will only see this as a shopping district or a main neighborhood. Also, note that the playables found on this neighborhood must be moved out of the lots first, and optionally turned into tropics locals using a townie brick CC object (google it) - otherwise, without the townie brick procedure, you'll only get the stock BV locals.

I do have plans for a tropical everything, uni, vacation etc, but for me I like to build in waves, so my current wave atm is grungy, dirty, rustic and that is what I am creating atm! (On twitch - this is a rolling hood and will be realised once its, well I guess complete)

I also found that the modular stairs, CC or maxis need to be placed with move_objects on if it agaisnt a wall, which I believe is the case in this sense. Thanks for letting me know!

Yeah I believe my game is UK English, so it randomises the names, I did already go through and enabled the names to be default only, but I guess I did not save when I did that as it has not stuck! I do plan on updating, but I need to sit down for a good few hours to do so, which is how long it takes ahah!

I really love the style! also would I recommend you add the "Look of the Xtabay" Tiki Torch from the Life Stories to the pack and add it to you're lots? I know it is not part of the Castaway Stories, but it fits in with the look!

Oooh good shout with the torch, will look into it!

I do plan on making a CS castaway vacation hood, but I think it will be a different map completely, just working on other ideas first! I am sure I will want CS CC back in my game soon!

If you like Sims stuff, I have some videos on YouTube?

https://sims2artists.com/index.php?topic=5122.0 Here is the Life Stories Buy bundle which includes the torch. I think it will fit in with this style neighborhood and if you update your lots, these torches would make a great addition.

Hello, I got an error with WinRAR that didn't extract Lot49 for some reasons.(it says the file is damaged). I downloaded the Populated and Main Hood version.
