You're a hero sir! This really is annoying, as the npc's don't have any base to behave like that and basically everyone cheats.
Another thing that I hate are how DJ's cheer the party with romantic interaction.

I think there's a hidden buff that a random roommate will get in University that allows them to serenade your sims and instantly romance them. I wonder if that is what derailed your story. Thanks for this mod.

It's a trait! It's a "roommate quirk" called PublicAffectionDisplayer. I absolutely despise it.

There's a secret to getting rid of it though. If you add a roommate to your family and then remove them, they'll stay your roommate but their roommate quirks will be gone. I always do that now

Thank you, i'm always finding NPC sims that are GF/BF by default to one sim then a few sim days later, i find they are married to someone completely different yeah i'm talking about you Don Lathero lol

Thankful to find this. My sim randomly had a full romantic relation with a stranger, cheating on his boyfriend. To make it worse she called him up saying she had his baby. No idea who thought to add this dumb feature, at least let us turn it off.
