Hello all! I decided to do a quick project as a little love letter to one of my favorite artists of all time!

As an Art History minor in college, I really enjoy learning all about pieces of famous art and all the little details and history behind them. One of my favorite artists to learn about so far has been Artemisia Gentileschi: one of the very few famous female painters of the Baroque period. Her work combines religious and feminist aspects into striking images, and I find them incredible.

In this pack, I've included five paintings: Self-Portrait as the Allegory of Painting, Susanna and the Elders, Judith Slaying Holofernes, Jael and Sisera, and Venus and Cupid. Each description comes with the painting's backstory and a few nuggets of info about them!

Each painting is its own object (i.e., as can be seen from the images included here, they are not just recolors of one painting). I did this so none of them would be distorted trying to fit them into a frame with the wrong aspect.

Enjoy!

Note: Two of the paintings are edited to censor nudity. I'm an artist.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Yessss! I love Artemisia Gentileschi! I think my sims would also love some of Elisabetta Sirani's work, particularly Timoclea killing Alexander's captain and Portia wounding her thigh.
