Many thanks! I rarely play Strangetown because of the limited space to add new homes. Now we can have urban re-newal in the desert!

How does it work with my current families in Strangetown?

I'm pretty sure it's a terrain file and not a neighbourhood.

Is it possible to combine this terrain with a clean hood?

I can't wait to get this installed and start using it either for a new town or a shopping district for my BACC in Dodge.

It works, but there's a trick to it that isn't clearly explained. You have to make a new neighborhood (call it something like AddRoadsToStrangetown), and then (AND ONLY THEN) you can use the Hood Replace program to transfer the roads. Make sure to select only roads, not anything else, to be transferred (no need to worry about bridges, Strangetown doesn't have any).

You will probably have to fiddle around with the lots to get everything displaying properly again (the Smith house gave me some major headaches, as it blanked out not one but two sections of road, and I had to move it somewhere else and then back again before it would cooperate).

Installed this right away (once I figured out how).
