Would you ever do a version of this with Tutorial Joe and Jane?

I was planning to get clean templates soon and for some reason I thought there was already a version that keeps Bella dead. Now there actually is one, thanks! Will be useful to me

Thank you very much! This was bugging me too.
The reason author thought that making a version of a template with Bella as a townie and not providing the lore-friendly alternative makes sense is beyond me.

I am trying just to get Dina but nobody can tell me how to just get her in your saved game. It doesn't make sense, she should be in the place where you make a sim, I mean her face should be there, but it isn't. I love replaying her but I can't just keep reloading up the neighbourhood she is in so is there any way you can help me just get Dina? Just Dina, not the whole neighbourhood.

You can extract Dina's appearance from the neighborhood using SimPE and bodyshop.
Here is a link to a tutorial on how to do that
https://www.thesimswiki.com/wiki/Ga...of_in-game_Sims

Once you have her extracted you will find her under the saved sims button in CAS.
(you will need to recreate her personality. You can find all of the information about her personality on the sims wiki)

I am currently using the main hood with the game generated Downtown attached. Bella Goth showed up twice during group outings to one of the Downtown lots. One outing was with Dina Caliente and Mortimer Goth. The other outing was with Darren Dreamer. I did not get any of the characters to interact with her, but some members of the group exercised their free will and chatted with her and included her their game of pool and bowling. Would it wreck the game if I get the playable characters to make friends with Bella Goth that the Downtown hood generated?

If I use the version without any of the townies would this prevent Bella Goth from showing up at all?

EDIT:
This time I did use the Pleasantview without Bella Goth template without any townies. I then added the game's unmodified Downtown hood.

I played the Pleasants. Cassandra Goth called Mary Sue and invited her to go Downtown. I sent them to Sugar Cube Bowling. In the group was Darren Dreamer, Don Lothario and Bella Goth.

Where is the best place to install your version? I deleted the original N001 from the Neighbourhood folder and copied your one into it. Do I now need to install the clean Downtown hood template to stop Bella Goth from showing up as part of group outings?

I love that this hood doesn’t include Bella. Finally! Question though: does the hood include the scripted events, by any chance?

The scripted events due still work .

If the scripted events are not working for you then try deleting the neighborhood folder (the game will regenerate the folder the next time you launch the game).

Thank you so much! Also, in case this might help someone else, my original Pleasantview still carried the UID “1” in my game, so when I added your new hood, it got a different one instead of 1. So the events were broken because of this. I fixed it in SimPE and now they work!

I have only two questions. And I don't know if anyone can give me the right answer. I don't know why this happening all the time in my Game. I'm always starting with Pleasantview, but after a few weeks I like to play other hoods too and when I play a different hood and coming back to Pleasantview, The Graves/Urns are all gone. Always, no matter how many times I've restarted my Game in the last couple of years, and only in this hood. But why this is happening? And yes, of course I'm using mods. My second question is, how many families/Generations(I mean in the same family) can live in the same house before the house or the hood gets corrupted?

And of course I appreciate your work, thank you for making all the Neighborhoods and fixes.

For your first question, I don't know why the graves and urns are disappearing, but running hood checker on the hood should be able to fix it and make them re-appear. For your second question, there isn't a limit for how long you can play the same family. There being too many sims in the entire neighborhood can cause problems, but you can play a family for as many generations as you want and that family won't get corrupted.

Well, this is not the case in my Game and believe me, I've used hood checker many times before and still doing it when needed. I just don't know what am I doing wrong. Anyway, thank you for the Answer.

Thank you so much for your effort. I always use the clean templates, but I find it a bit annoying that the townies and NPCs are mostly deleted (even if I can see why, still don't like it). Especially since I'm not a SimPE savvy. So thank you for giving me the chance to play with all Maxis premades in a clean (and somewhat safe) template. I was also wondering if you were ever going to create clean version with townies for Strangerville, as it is the only hood that is not released?

Thank you for your kind words ! It's comments like yours that keep me motivated to make Sims 2 content.

And for your question, I'm assuming you meant Strangetown as Strangerville is from sims 4. The reason I have not a townies and NPCs for MeetMe's Strangetown clean template is because modthesims user Dorsal Axe made their own clean version of Strangetown (Called Fixed Maxis Strangetown) and their version does include all of the Maxis townies and NPCs. Both the MeetMe and Dorsal Axe versions are equally clean and safe to use. The changes between the 2 are very minor and the Dorsal Axe version actually has a few fixes absent in the MeetMe version. So I don't see a reason to add the townies and NPCs to MeetMe's strangetown as if you want the townies and NPCs you can just use the Dorsal Axe version. The only major differences between the 2 is that the grandparents are not deleted in the Dorsal Axe version, the premades have recessive genes in the MeetMe version but don't in the Dorsal Axe version, and the ages may be a little different as MeetMe would change some of the Sims ages her clean templates while Dorsal Axe had all of the Sims keep their Maxis ages.

ps. You can play the original versions of the Maxis hoods without having to worry about corruption. The clean templates are more about fixing general oversights rather than fixing instances of corruption (though fixing general oversights does include fixing instances of corruption). You just need to let hoodchecker clean it before you start playing and don't resurrect the dead Sims in the base game neighborhoods.

Ha, ha, yes! I meant Strangetown. I always mess up those names. Thanks for the info! I'll check Dorsal Axe's version!
